If Bondrewd's latest goal in life is insuring that Riko, Nanachi, And Reg complete their journey then we might not have saw the last of him. After all, The man is more than crazy enough to jump down that pit and lend them aid in a pinch, especially if there is something to be learned from whatever they are dealing with... Even more, I'm pretty certain that he has ways of watching them even at lower depths. That artifact that can see through other's eyes doesn't seem to have an expressed range limit and it seems like he was Pretty awfully sure when they were going to show up.

Bondrewd is one of the most fascinating antagonists I've ever seen in anime. He's is a great representation of the horrors and dangers of the Abyss. Plus, he has an awesome design and scary powers.

he allowed himself to be killed so that prushka could complete her humanity/love for him (made her experience the loss of a loved one, then relief/joy when he came back via the zoaholic). Bondrewed set the whole thing up, making sure prushka was watching the whole battle.

Kinda a shame if we really think about it. We only get to see the tail combat variant on bondrewd. During the whole movie he only had 1 combat unit stationed, it was weird. Then it starts to make sense because he recently just had a big fight with the lord of mystery resulting in his battle units to be destroyed

You have done nothing wrong to hate him. However, if he didn't love these children, the blessing won’t function. All I can say is he truly loves them, but he won’t stop his study even though he loves them. Just don’t expect a man who's already lost his humanity can do something acceptable.

He's a sociopath so it's completely normal to him because of his lack of empathy. That's why he can love the children but at the same time do gruesome and horrible experiments on them since he doesn't feel that he's doing anything wrong or immoral. Also morality is a concept that we created in our society and we are taught very early what we should and shouldn't do. A lion won't feel any remorse when it's killing an antelope or when killing another lion when fighting over territory, that's just its nature. To Bondrewd it's probably the same since the children are serving a bigger purpose in his eyes.
