He had the courage and faith to return to Germany in the Nazi era because it would have been so easy for him to stay the safety of America. Knowing what God's will and obeying are two different things. I am guilty of that.

Wow, his description of the German Christians is so relevant to today (2019) and trumpism. A large part of his base is synonymous in belief and action to these German Christians and their overt mixing of nationalism and "christianity".

I don't think there's anything holy about war. Blessed are the peacemakers, but yes Ukraine does seem to have God on their side and I hope it's not propaganda.
