For me ramping is essential for chunkers and most thinning shears I dont on the small ones or the flat micro edge shears but I would appreciate your take on curved chunkers what you do on the rideline do you just use a archone or how would you deal with a missing rideline at the beginning of the ride next to the pivot especially on the cutter inside curve I really appreciate you sharing your wisdom it has helped me alot along with bonika's videos I've been watching almost every day for 2 years now so thanks

I think I radiused out my German shears trying to get a ride line on a DMT DIAMOND STONE (Coarse/extra fine duo stone) how can I repair that. And what grit water stone is that?
@BonikaShears
@BonikaShears Күн бұрын
If they are German shears, they may be ruined. Those usually don't have a rideline.

@keithtreisch6890 Жыл бұрын
@BonikaShears yes. The "hollow grinding " I have assumptions. But. Just curious pro technique on it or moreso the actual wheel for grinding. Would ir be diamond ?

What stone is he using?

It looks like a 6000 or 5000 grit Shapton Professional Stone. I think at the Sharpeners Jam this last week-end he had switched to a 2000 grit stone.
