I’m new to the music of Merle Haggard so I’m devouring everything I can plus reading what’s out there that I can get a hold of. A true genius, with a voice like no other. Bonnie gave him stability and confidence to grow as an artist and was always his best friend, forgiving him always. I can see how her voice found a place in his heart, totally unique.

Bonnie Owens is just the best country singer. I heard Merle say that without Bonnie he might not be singing today. She was great. May they both RIP and I still can enjoy the music.
