There are a couple of reasons why I am impressed with this male dancer. The full-legged 1940s slacks are an absolute must with this type of dancing. The movement of all the material is very evident. The boy raises his knees very high when dancing. This accentuates the movement of all the material in the slacks. The boy's waist and shoulders remain generally parallel to the floor. All the work is being achieved with the legs. I haven't a clue how to dance like this and admire both of them. Oh to be young again.....

I grew up listening to that type of music and trying to dance like that because my parents were of the WWII era and had Tommy Dorsey and Glenn Miller Orchestra records. One of Dorsey's songs was simply titled "Boogie Woogie" with about the same tempo, etc... It is so much fun watching experts like these dance the Boogie Woogie, Jitterbug, etc.. African Americans were particularly good at it. They were "ON FIRE."

I love the way William moves his feet and I Love the way Maeva moves her feet to swing her hips. Both must be dancing within 1 metre abouts.The three musicians playing the Boogie Woogie Stomp is awesome, one of the best I have heard.

I am a massive fan of boogie woogie. I have seen most of the best exponents of this genre and I have to say that this couple are by far the best I have seen. I have followed their progress right through to world champions in competitions to their current position as proprietors of a successful dance studio in the south of France, but I have to say that this performance is the most spectacular that they have ever done. It's a pity that it only lasts for two and and a half minutes.

The young man is making funny faces, and the young woman looks either bored and not enjoying herself too much. I get the sense that they are not connecting with one another or the audience. Their moves are impressive.I wrote the above comment about 3-4 years ago, and I feel even stronger about it now; There are far better performers and the lack of connection between the dancers is a difficult and unfortunate distraction.

My dad used to play this song on the piano for my siblings and I when we were little, and when he did we would run as fast as we could all in and around the house having fun and dancing about. :) Good memories with the rhythmic melodies~ And the trios performance in the vid was just danddy!
