Boogie actually inspired me to try to kick my diet soda habit. Or at least change it. There are healthier sodas that don't have the garbage the main soda companies put in it, though, but nothing is perfect as far as artificial sweeteners go. Even Stevia has issues, but it's probably the best artificial sweetener available for sodas by a long shot. I've also been trying to adapt to drinking sparkling water and sparkling juice to get my soda kick, but the former is hard for me to drink and the latter is often too sweet even when not artificially sweetened.

@nisonatic I definitely don't have that issue myself. My diet is very low sugar. As long as I stay off sugar, I can keep diet sodas as my only sweetness fix decently well. But, I have had issues with carbs too, with moves to cut out all empty carbs more recently. Not going full keto, but any carbs I do eat, I try to make sure it's very high in protein or fiber, at least.

As a former fattie and bodybuilder right now, peanut butter and many of the other things boogie is eating are technically "healthy" but still high calorie. If you eat 2000 calories of donuts and 2000 calories of banana, you're still eating 2000 calories unfortunately I don't think anyone on the panel knows much about this. It's a classic fat person idea to think "healthy food" equals "diet food" Boogie of course is eating unhealthily and calorie dense food lol

I hope someone tells this panel that the sugar in fruits is so low in calories it doesnt matter. You arent getting obese because you ate 20 strawberries. Sugar isnt what gets you fat, calories is what gets you fat. Fruit and vegetables is mostly water

Calories is a measurement of energy, not a substance itself. Sugar (and other carbohydrates) is rich in calories, and the kinds of food that are highest in sugar (because people added tons of it) are high in calories as a result. Also, animals that aren't adapted to eat lots of fruit will become obese if they eat too much. You can see this happen with omnivorous lizards in particular. Humans can eat tons of fruit without issue because we naturally burn off the fruit's energy faster than it can accumulate.
