Hello. I'm reading this book right now. I really appreciate the time Neville takes to set up his characters and the location. His characters are deep and relatable, like Kat and her relationship with Steve and how it's complicated with their age differences, Kat's inability to have children and the tension that places on Steve with his rich family. This makes me care about the characters which makes the situations they get into more intense. It also makes me trust Neville as a story teller because I can see he understands the complex reality of human relationships, which is important to me because I have no friends and my head is slightly too big for my body.

Let me know what you think of it! I've enjoyed everything Adam Nevill has written so far. I'm going to be reading No One Gets Out Alive very soon.

I’m currently reading “Last Days,” by Adam Nevill, and this one looks pretty interesting and I’ve thought reading it as well at some point, but have sort of been thrown off by some mixed reviews. But your review actually encourages me to go ahead and give it a try!

Why do Americans keep saying the movie to Ritual was made by Netflix. It's a British movie made by The Imaginarium a British production company and shown in UK cinemas, Netflix just show it internationally. Besides that good review just please Americans stop saying every show and film on Netflix is made by them

So did Kat become the new queen? lol I’m a bit confused

It seemed her encounter with the Creel and the Reddening cured her infertility as well as awakening an inner savagery, it was implied throughout that the mother character was central to the cult keeping a peace with the cave dwellers.

the house of small shadows, last days and apartment 16 are my favorites by him, followed closely by banquet of the damned. the reddening seems to pad out the universe he's creating, but it's still very worth rereading. this is a really good review, thank you for sharing it!
