Sister Wilson, you do a fantastic job on these videos. I just wanted to point out one thing. You told the story of David and Abigail, but called Abigail "Rahab". Rahab was the woman in Jericho who helped Joshua's spies at the beginning of the conquest. Rahab's story is also remarkable. I hope you have a Merry Christmas.

Weren't both Abigail (Rachab) and Bathsheba wives of David? It doesn't make sense that Abigal would be the great grandmother of David through Obed and Jesse. Matthew says Rachab was the wife of Salmon, not Nabal or David. Also, how can the name Abigail somehow be Rahab in Hebrew? I don't see how this can be anything but a mistake on Matthew's part or Sister Wilson's. There are many other discrepancies in Matthew's genealogy compared to Luke's so I guess it could be a mistake of Matthew's. Any insights or clarifications from anyone else?

There are 5 women mentioned in Matthew’s account. Verse 16 names Marry. Also, although Nabal was a “hard” and “insensitive” man and “folly was with him” it is unlikely that Abigail called him a fool. Sister Yee, footnoting seminary material, said this about her in the October 2022 conference. “Abigail can be seen as a powerful type or symbol of Jesus Christ. Through His atoning sacrifice, He can release us from the sin and weight of a warring heart and provide us with the sustenance we need. Just as Abigail was willing to take Nabal’s sin upon herself, so did the Savior-in an incomprehensible way-take upon Him our sins and the sins of those who have hurt or offended us.”
