After all, Lia was supposed to be thier saviour. God's one true child. The guards were there to keep them safe. The guards posted outside a door? They were protecting someone. But Taylor never knew what went on behind those doors. She never saw the point to ask. If she had to know, Lia would tell her. Lia would always be there for her. For everybody. And when the time comes. Lia will take the most faithful ones up to heavens with her. That's what Taylor knew. That's what Taylor decided to believe in. That's what got her there. "Godchild, Lia, save me. Save me from those masked men." Lia's heels clicked against the floor, blood matching the red bottoms. Lia lowered herself to Taylors level, staying in a crouching position. Her hand touched Taylor's bruised face, lifting it to look at Lia's cold dark eyes. "My child, trust in me. I will always keep you safe." A shot rang out. Taylor's head slowly fell to the ground. Lia stood slowly before turning. "Let's start getting the next group ready. The government doesn't pay us to coddle them, now don't they." How'd you like the story???
