Figgy is such a model honestly. I love vague thoughts about books because I feel like they're more honest and concise! My favorite reads so far this year have been: Juniper and Thorn by Ava Reid, The Princess and the Goblin by George MacDonald, and Mimi's Tales of Terror by Junji Ito!

I love you Figgy & Hiro! *boop!* for both of you! Hehe! I didn’t have a favourite book in January or February ;( the last book I read was cleopatra and Frankenstein. It was not bad! Not my favourite though. I was just at the library hoping to find the silent patient to read again cuz I don’t remember it but they didn’t have it ;( how rude! Lol have a good weekend, Tia! 💕😺

I just added Women of Good Fortune to my Libby list, but I'll have to wait for the release date (March 4th) to read it. The way you describe it, it gives Counterfeit vibes and I really enjoyed that book last year. And if you like the Stardust book, then you'd enjoy the movie. There's some changes, and many would argue that the changes are improvements.

I ALSO REALLY LIKED COUNTERFEIT LAST YEAR!!!! I hope you like WoGF! I didn’t know Stardust had a movie :O oooohh I’ll have to check it out!! Thanks for letting me know :)

Stardust is my lowest rated Gaiman book! I really recommend the movie over the book, i think is the only adaptation i liie more than the source material😅 People (including neil) add it to the "books to read to get into neil gaiman" and I'm always like noooo pls read my faves first haha
@tiachu9 ай бұрын
OOOHHH okay I’ll definitely check the movie out. What’s your favorite of his? :-))
@grff_9 ай бұрын
@@tiachu if u ask me which books to read to get into Gaiman I'd say The Graveyard book, Coraline and Ocean at the end of the lane are the perfect trio. All three, despite having the similar theme of "little kid witnesses horrors" are very different from each other and I personally think is some of his best work. My personal favorites are Anansi Boys and Ocean. And of course I recommend Good Omens so u get Terry's charm as well. Finally, I think Neverwhere and American Gods are good, but not the first thing I'd tell you to pick up.

As of January, my favorite read was the tea dragon society. I rated it four stars! It was so sweet and so cute! The characters were very likable! (But the second and third, in my opinion, didn't nearly have the sane amount of magic - February, though, I had two favorite reads that month both of which 4 stars! I really liked heartstopper volume 3 compared to all of them! (This includes 1-2-4-5) Another read I enjoyed last month was what moves the dead! Another book with likable characters! Got a little teary-eyed by the end. I like how everything connected together. The author was very clever about it! I also liked how the author explained her world building. That way, it wasn't so confusing like some fantasy books I know of. That was another thing I appreciated! Also! It was descriptive. When something unnatural happened in the surroundings of the world it gave you the spooks as it should!

Wait, wait, wait, give Funny Story another chance. I think you misunderstood it. She doesn't get immediately into another relationship. She actually resists it until the end. I love it so much. Anyways, it's not as deep as Happy Place (which I also love), but it's so good, give it another chance.
