Your office is any book lover's dream. My tiny room ran out of space and my bookshelf was falling apart, so I hadn't bought physical books for years. I only borrow from the library or buy kindle books now. I'm not complaining. Still it would be nice to have a space like yours some day. Thank you for sharing!

Only problem is that one new Sanderson/Abercrombie release and I'll have to split them up. Heck, I'll eventually need a whole shelf for Lord Ruler Sanderson since his editor doesn't give him a word limit. I think I'm finally done with Star Wars books because I have no interest in the new canon. Maybe the X-Wing books if I finally decide to fly down that path.

Oh man, here in Belgrade most wheel of time book editions are split in two parts, so basically you have to buy same book twice. I have like 22 WoT books lol. Nice collection.

I must admit that one of the reason why I read a certain book is because of its cover. So when I see the cover of Malazan books, I feel I want to read them. You have a nice collection with beatutiful covers.

I always say "never judge a book by its cover...unless that cover is amazing." That's the whole reason I got into the Red Rising books. The covers were slick.

To Kill a Mockingbird is fantastic. One of the few classics that I’ve read, that I completely understand why it’s a classic. Lovecraft and Dune are on my tbr for 2021. Trying to read outside my comfort zone and I blame you tubers like you for that. 😉

Definitely jealous of the number of hardcovers you have. At the moment I can only handle trade paperback or nice leatherbound additions of most of my favorite series. Except for A Song of Ice and Fire where everything has to be hardcover. Waiting on a more permanent place with my gf before I get those heavy hardcover editions!

The thing that surprised me when I firstly travelled abroad was almost absence of hardcovers. In postsovetic countries almost all books are addited in hard cover, however, now this trend is changing too.

Awesome collection! Still beating myself up for not buying the WOT hardcover books when I found a ton of them in a library book sale for $4 a few years ago. Didn’t know who he was at that time but now, regretting it ever since. Hoping to have same WOT collection as yours in the future.

Anne Rice’s Witching Hour is really good...the other two books in the Mayfair witches are worth reading but the story gets pretty weird. One of my favorite Anne Rice books though is The Mummy! (Nothing like either of the movies)

'The Magician's Nephew' is my favorite book. I was wondering if it was put as Book 1 in that Chronicles of Narnia edition - if so, that's blasphemy of the most egregious. Ah well... some people would have their kids watch a pan & scan version of The Phantom Menace for the best intro to the Star Wars universe.

I am ashamed to admit i got rid of my Star Wars EU books when Disney decanonized them. A major mistake as the Zahn and Kevin J Anderson trilogies are amazing. Loved the bookshelf tour! I am jealous you have a home office and all that shelf space! :)

Love that Skyrim map.... have you ever played Elder Scroll Online... That's the only video game I have played in the last 2 years... Looking at your Dune collection I didn't see the last two books that were written by Brian Herbert from his dad's notes... Apparently book 6, Chapter House Dune has a huge cliffhanger and those last two books tie everything together... I also want to read those Joe Abercrombie YA books... They have it at my library so I'll read the first book and see what I think before making the decision whether I want to purchase it or just say I've read it... All in all great video Mike I love your setup 👍📚

I tried it, but I'm really a solo or couch co-op player. Haven't had much fun with online multiplayer. I tried reading the Brian Herbert stuff and it's atrocious. Plus, many believe Brian lied his ass off as he never made those notes public. I'm sure the Shattered Sea books are great just because Joe is a great writer.

Have you read the Belgariad and the Malloreon yet? They're one of the most derivative fantasy series I've ever read but they also happen to be extremely easy to read page turners and fun. Just don't expect anything even slightly groundbreaking lol.

R. Scott Bakker I've started and abandoned 3 times now. I loved Belgariad/Mallorean as a 14 year old boy -- it does not age well. It is somewhat wish-fulfillment, farmboy to god, 80s fantasy. Question: Will you upgrade your Star Wars EU to hardcover? You inspired me to start collecting hardcovers, and I'm now quickly filling up. I find old SW EU books super cheap, only 5-7 bucks a pop for excellent condition. Just picked up my original Thrawn trilogy hardcovers and I love it!!

I've heard everything from Prince of Nothing being the best series ever to being absolute dogshit. Folks seem pretty adamant about one side of that coin. I would possibly upgrade a couple of the series, like Thrawn or Shadows of the Empire, but at this point it would be too big of an undertaking. Especially considering 90% of the EU books are original releases from high school.

1. You have an amazing shelf, I envy it. I cant have like more than like 5 unread books though, Idk why but I like to buy something, read it while its next to my bed, then fill it in the shelf. 2. Where did you get that lord of the rings edition with the ring and pendant and the case around it that looked amazing I would pay pretty good money to have that. 3. I know you said your starting blood of elves next year. Anyway I just started and I'm about 150 pages in. I was not that big a fan of the short stories, they were good I just dont really like collections. Blood of elves, to me, blows them out of the water. Dont want to set your expectations too high but I am really really enjoying it. I can already see how so many people say this is their favorite fantasy series. I'm excited to find out where the story goes. So if you have a lull in your reading I highly recommend to pick up blood elves sooner than next year. Or read it while grinding through burning white.

1) That's probably what I should do, but I have a problem and keep waiting for my wife to force an intervention 2) That was the 50th Anniversary edition that came out in 2004. It's amazing. Has the gold sprayed edges, maps, a leather slipcase, etc. The pendant and One Ring and just trinkets I have collected along the way. I even got my wife the Evenstar pendant for our anniversary because we're big dorks 3) I intended to just stay ahead of the show with the Witcher books, but I doubt I'll wait that long. BoE is on my short list of books to read in early 2020.

To Everyone! Does anyone who has read the Expanse books know if the story threads continue throughout the series? I read Leviathan Wakes around 1.5yrs ago and was wondering if I need to re-read this before starting the second book in the series or if I’ll be okay?
