Some great looking books there, loved both the T.Kingfisher's Cara is Carrot don't worry. Used to love James Herbert back in the day, they used to scare me then but wouldn't now. Heart Shaped Box is great too.

For the T. Kingfisher, Carrot is Cara. It's been a while since I have read, but I think “Carrot” is a nickname given by her uncle. The blurb about portals is more accurate to the book. The shop mentioned is still the book, but it is misleading. I didn't like the book because my expectations were different due to these blurbs.

I'm on a continuing T Kingfisher journey and I loved The Hollow Places, so creepy 😂 I'm currently about 70 pages into The Twisted Ones and i think it might turn out to be my favourite so far! P.s. love the glasses!!
