You are the only one of the 'major' RC Crawler channels to even talk about this (both now and the 01). Well done. I wonder how many of the other guys are bound by some clause in contracts they've signed with HorizonHobby (who, as you know, accounts for 90% of the brands/kits they 'review' ).

I just picked up a BRX01 and love it. The smoothest rig I own! I need this bad boy!!
@rcgeordiecrawler27102 жыл бұрын
I have the BRX01 and have to say its the best kit i have ever put together, nothing beats it for the quality. I do have one bad thing to say about it and that is the shocks, they leak constantly and no matter what i do i cant stop them from doing it. I ended up swapping them out for some cheap ones off ebay which have never leaked. Apart from that the kit is a dream to build and love how smooth the drivetrain is. 100% recommend it 🤙🏻🤙🏻 Love the channel by the way 👍🏻👍🏻

Looking forward to seeing this completed, maybe give the body to Randy to work his magic, it would be great to do a recessed grill on the leaf sprung one seeing as the body shape changed when Land Rover went to coil springs in 1983.

Yeah drives me crazy when people want to add leaf springs to a rig that's either a 90 or 110 "because it's more scale"... erm, nope.

Saw one of the videos, awesome the way the D110 body clips onto the chassis. The only issue I have with it, is the weight, ---it is too light for my liking. I like chassis like the Xtrra speed D110, iron and heavy. I'm going to get this BRX02, but I'll figure out how to make it as heavy as the one from xtraspeed.
@RCReviewChannel2 жыл бұрын
Good news is it's easy to add weight. The boomracing weighted wheels alone can add 2 lbs of weight way down low.
@u_t_d_s_h-1_a2 жыл бұрын
@@RCReviewChannel 2ibs to the wheels might be good, if it does not wear down gears in the axles due to more power or force required to move the heavier wheels.
@toddbertram65562 жыл бұрын
Pretty speedy but if the quality is there ya can't complain. A high end IFS with trailing arms (like the element) would be awesome. The enduro are great rigs but something some some nice machine work would be cool. And the body is undeniably awesome even if I'm not a huge rover guy, it is still a good look with the mini bed. Ya don't see those too often (1:1) and when you do they seem to actually be used for work.

Go with the fusion, you need a very clean wiring in order to clear the body. I'm working on a fake v8 engine to put in the engine bay with a fake battery that will contain the fusion switch... you press the battery and it will switch the car on!

I think its the best Defender body out there. I would like to fit one to my TRX4. If the BRX02 had the features of the TRX4 I might get one, but just one slow gear and no diff lets it down for me. I think this hard body is a touch wider than the TRX4 Defender which would be way better for getting the wheels more under the body.
@markgerrard18922 жыл бұрын
I've all three D110s. TRX-4 is 187mm, Team Raffie (BRX02) 193mm, and the RC4WD is 182mm. These measurements are fended to fender without the flares.
@avipatable2 жыл бұрын
@@markgerrard1892 Thanks very much! It would look better, and the Traxxas website says the TRX4 wheelbase can be extended to 336mm - so only 2mm more than the Team Raffee one. Plenty to think about!

Amazing! That’s going to be a fun build. What glue do you use for those hardbody kits? I did a lot of plastic kits in the day, but I doubt you would use that model cement on an RC. Do you use a CA glue?

@@bcochener no worries, I have built 2 of these Team Raffee bodies, I used both ca glue and styrene cement, usually use the ca to hold things in place while the styrene cement hardens. Be prepared for lots of tiny screws, all Phillips head, so a good set of small magnetic screwdrivers, tweezers, a pin vice with some tiny drill bits and a magnifying visor or similar and some good lighting.

Hi all! I wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to tell you that I am interested in entering the world of RCs and the truth is that I still don't know much. Maybe they could help me. I am undecided on which of the two chassis I should buy, BRX01 or BRX02? Regardless of the aesthetic, which one would you choose? Why? I would be grateful if you could guide me a little on how to start, it is a spectacular hobby that I know very little about. Thanks in advance! P/D: you can see the enthusiasm in each video, it's nice to see them.
