I was looking at this bag, but ended up getting a Wotancraft 7L Pilot and just love it...

I just purchased my 30i for $39.75 at B&H. It was their "Today's Deas" email. I couldn't resist (I also have a number of bags). BTW, I like the idea of using the Peak Design camera strap as the should strap for the camera bag.

I gotta see if that deal is still on. My bag is pretty beat up. :)

The email I receive is from B&H Deal Zone. The subject is Today's Deals:. Usually there's about a half dozen items but I think it is only good for that day so you got to jump on them when you get the opportunity. Maybe you can give them a call and mention that you missed the email. Good luck.@@BoorayPerry

Hey Booray I'm a tall person and I think this bag will fit my needs. It looks very modern, and the Magnet is a good idea. It really fits a lot of things inside. Another great video. ''Tanks'' a lot.

I've had my 30i for more than 4 years. You're right - the way it opens is genius. Almost any camera bag will work okay when you're loading it up, but become awkward as all get-out when you're out shooting and need to get into it. I own a couple of other Think Tank bags. The very small Mirrorless Mover 5 which holds my Sony RX1R II snugly, and the carry-on suitcase sized Airport Advantage Roller. I bought the roller for a trip by air, which was cancelled, but kept the bag. It's my "load up all the gear when I'm not sure which lenses/bodies I'll need" bag - when I'm traveling in the car near or far - and does the job well.

My main bag is also Think Tank but I have the one with 4 spinner wheels. It's so easy.

Terrific review, Booray. I just pulled the trigger on the canon RP for vacations and I was looking for a smaller bag for walking around. This may be my next bag. I love your strap hack. Genius!!

Booray, you mentioned it holding an X-T4. Is that with or without the battery grip? Thanks!
@BoorayPerry Жыл бұрын
I think it would depend on the lens. I suspect that if you are using a big battery grip then you are also using different lenses and would benefit from a bigger bag. 🙂📷

Think Tank has some great, well thought out products! That is a nice bag. You are spot on about how it opens and is one reason why I love the Moment 6l sling I bought last year. it's my current goto bag when I carry two cameras. Your Peak Design mod is excellent, I've seen you mention that before. I think I've seen this entire video before now that I think about it ;-)

i'm late to this but agree on the 30i. I have bags, many bags, but this is my favorite bag. I will keep it until it is shredded and then buy another. I like your two hacks and will incorporate the luggage bungee thing to my bag. I got a Tom Binh Absolute shoulder strap for this bag and it is by far too wonderful to even describe. One downside: the raincover is an awkward fit although made much better with the Tom Binh strap than the original strap.
@BoorayPerry Жыл бұрын
Mine is looking pretty worn. I'm gonna check out that strap
@StevenKeery Жыл бұрын
Reading the reviews on Amazon, a number of buyers commented that the rain cover, when fitted, obscures the straps. So you can not carry it by the straps once the raincover is fitted, but have to resort to carrying it like a package under the arm. Depending on the climate where you are having your holiday, this may or may not be an issue worth considering.

i used to have a lowepro street and field reporter 200aw which had a flap that could zip open in the middle so i didn't even have to lift the flap. that was the best bag i ever had. I wished you release this video 3 days ago.... Just ordered the Think Tank Speedtop 15. The one with the magnets... I was between these two and finally I have chosen the Speedtop (don't know if you have looked at it also and what is your opinion). Generally I believe Think Tank makes bags designed for photographers without the bells and whistles of other companies.

The back tripod holder is really a big old belt loop to secure the bag to your body. Great review!
@jonuiuc Жыл бұрын
I looked at this line, it seems only the largest "30" has that forward open feature. You make a good case for it if you need to be in and out of the bag a lot and in a hurry. My one issue with that is that it sorta leaves all your gear out for the world to see, which is fine usually, but sometimes, not what I'd like to flash. I like the tenba DNAs with their waterproofness and zipper top, that keeps your stuff discrete, also has a silent opening as sometimes the noise of the zipper is the thing you're trying to silence. Wotancraft pilots are nice and simple in use, also a soft bag which rests against the body nicer. Of course the Billinghams are another soft option, but I like all three of these cause they can be easiliy converted to non camera use. And in the sizes to fit a 13" laptop, they all have luggage straps to sit atop rolling luggage.

Maybe you can help me, I can't find a travel camera bag that offers hardcase protection on the inside but the ability to be opened from the top. I travel on a motorbike/bike to remote locations for photography, and have had crashes; I want a bag that can survive a mild spill on a bike but still allow me to access the camera from the top as a normal carry around bag. The hardcases on the market are really on designed for airplane checked baggage, which isn't useful for me. If you know of a bag please suggest one! thanks!

The ONLY recommendations I accept from KZbin presenters about photo equipment are the recommendations made without reference to any merchants. Otherwise ... then the recommendation is seriously nothing but a goddamn paid commercial. Are people actually so gullible? Hell yes - they surely are! It's an extremely rare video which does NOT come packaged as a commercial, but at least a few of them exist.
