This video really save my e bike my pedal assist has been kicking in and off. Because my motor came 48v 1000w. The pedal assist has 8 magnets.that come with the kit. But didn’t fit my bike. So I bought an after market pas sensor. 12 magnet. I started experiencing some strange kicking in and off when pedaling. After watching this video. I switched to to 12 magnet on the on the display screen. On num 13. Where he spoke about you can choose either 5, 8 or 12 magnet. Originally mine was set at num 8. So I change it to num 12. Because The pas I bought was 12 magnet. But now it’s zoom zoom zoom. Wow. Thanks a million. and it work really fine thanks a million

You say refer to your manual. WHAT MANUAL???!!! The motor did not come with one! Good video, though and thank you. I STILL haven't got the bike to move except in the "Walking Man" icon. Or about 4 mph. I even bought a new contoller, a device to check the contoller and new pedal assist sensor. I REALLY NEED THIS TRIKE, as I'm handicapped and it's my only form of transportation. My next purchase would be a new twist throttle. No bike shops around here will work on a bike they didn't sell and I built my own. Any help.would be appreciated!

if your kit is 48v 1000w it should run at 20amps. if it is limited to 12 amp thats only 600watts.

It's sad my 1200w kit can't go but about 30mph. And my last 1000w kit was able to hit 45.5mph, or the max speed it would give before it would immediately cut the power from the bike. Unless I was giving it a 52v 17.5ah battery hence why it was so powerful. It was pulling 1800w at the most. This new 1200w kit is okay..but I wish I could get it back up to 45mph at the most so I could get around places easily. Speedhacking these aren't easy.

It also depends on what controller you have. I have an off-road e-scooter with 1500 watts, whose cables are 4 times thicker than those of these 1500 watt bike controllers. The battery (4x12v agm) from the scooter has a 60 ampere fuse built in, from which you can call up 40-50 amps as continuous output. These ebike controllers, however, only have a continuous output of 17 - 18 amps and briefly go up to 35 or so high. I can do about 30 mph with my 1500w kit and the acceleration is poor until I reach 9 - 13 mph, only then does it start accelerating faster. At first I thought the dealer had ripped me off and sent me a motor with less watts, but according to the display the consumption is actually 1300-1400 watts.

Great video! Any chance you have info on the RadBikes controller os version of the 900? There are only 3 settings/options given after the up&down arrow hold. First is wheel size, second is speed limiting (in km/hr) but no display info is given on the 3rd setting which has options of setting 1, 2, or 3.

I saw my setting for tire size was 24 inch and my tires are 20 inch ? Isn't the wrong tiire size in the settings going to mess up the correct mph and milage ?

Yes. It’ll say you’re going faster than you actually are. The bigger tires need more power to turn and will carry you farther at the same rpm compared to the 20” tires. So change the tire size or throw on some bigger wheels to go faster.

hello! I mess something in my bigstone c300s display and the [assist] is not show in the bottom left main screen anymore and the PAS stop working. the rest is fine you know what config [+][-] menu I need to change to re-enable it again? it have 3 configuration menus

Can I perform a firmware reset without worrying that the motor parameters will be changed afterwards? I have no data on my engine. So the factory condition is the condition of the controller where I got it? or did the seller adjust it so that it works and after the firmware reset nothing works anymore?

The problem is a lot of these bikes don't come with manuals....which is dumb...but expected because China is the KING of doing things half assed. My display has 17 P settings.....Like how the hell am I supposed know what to do? It will be one long ass hell trial and error. made in China is made half assidly.

Hi, very helpful video, learnt a lot from it. 1 issue I have is, I bought the new ebike motor where the controller is built into the motor, it is a 48v 1500w I had to increase torque via increasing amps. I had a 48v 1500w motor before my current, it died on me unfortunately. But the power from the old one was a lot more better than my current one. I noticed my current motor is only displaying a maximum output wattage of around 800, whereas my old one, would at times, display over 1600 watts. Is there any way where I can unlock more wattage output for my current motor? Thanks

increase your p014 setting. if your being limited to 12 amps at 48v thats only 600watts.

Unfortunately will lose your trip distance every time you turn the battery off, however it does not effect the odometer. So in order to keep track of your trip distance remember where your odometers mileage was when you started.

Try entering the numbers 3745 and it should let you through. I had the same problem, hope this helps.

I changed the top speed limit to max, but when I reach 25km the bike still limits the speed. It feels different, like if the bike is braking. Is there any solution to this? I have the kt-lcd3

Using the up arrow key, set the PAS to the highest number. I believe that should help. Let me know

@@AugustineEBikes you mean while biking? Yeah, the ASSIST value is set to 5 while reaching the 25km/h and the brakes hit. Even The brakes icon flashes when this happens, as if there is another system or configuration to change. To test this issue, I changed the Wheel Diameter to 6’’ instead of 29’’ in order to “fool” the device and reading a slower speed, but when reaching around “real” 25km/h it still slows down (the displays shows a much slower speed like 5km/h when this happens but its definitely running at around 25km). Could there be another system that tracks the speed and deactivates the motor? Another thing that I found after changing the Wheel Diameter is that the throttle function won’t stops at 6km/h as it used to, but now it holds up to 25km/h before shutting down (while again the display shows a lower speed reading). So, the change in the Wheel Diameter indeed changed something but not the overall top speed. Thanks in advance

Isn't it that magnet sensor, in the rear wheel? You can fool that by putting the magnet on your pedal and changing the place of the sensor. It will detect a way lower "speed" and give you more juice. I think there are video's about this. That is... "IF" it has a magnet sensor.
