I love your videos I've been at the same thing you've been doing for years since I got my tradesman and found out all this was possible but had other things to prioritize. But this year I've been pushing so much and done all I'm missing is the dash coming in. But I wanted to do the same you did bc I got 2022 leather seats with heated and vented but didn't just wanna wire it through I want factory. This helps so much knowing I can do this! When we do dash work,like swapping the dash pad undwr warranty or a/c evaporaters at the dealer,we just remove frame and all,then switch everything over on the work bench.

Mine is an SLT so changing over some things is a little easier as mine has the premium harness. So far I did leather wheel, premium gauges, climate control, and backup camera. Next I am going to do the the dash, mirror, driver seat to power, and adjustable pedals. I might even do the door panels.

The gun metal trim colour you should match it to the outside colour. Also colour match a few other parts inside so then you will have some interior colour. I did that with my truck and it looks awesome. Great videos.

I think you need the console media hub from a 8.4 Uconnect vehicle for it to work. And possibly changes with Alfa OBD. Leather dash looks great! My 2015 Outdoorsman was one trim level away from a Sport which had the leather dash. I'd like to do the leather trimmed dash swap too with some Katzkin leather seats.

Looks great. I say leave the gun Metal vent bezel’s, on the video it looks like it matches the stitching on the dash. Also maybe you should consider putting the tradesmen dash in the SST. It’s a give in second gen dash is trashed and the small touch screen is still an upgrade for that truck. Maybe go as far as using a new complete harness for the truck

I have the gunmetal colored vents in my truck and prefer it over the silver ones. There is one problem though and that is that you can't get a console style center stack/radio bezel in that color.

I think the 8.4 is vin locked to the previous truck. When I upgraded to mine, I had to have a pin number sent to me. Also do you know why the voltage gauge in my cluster would stop working? All other gauges work fine.

I was looking at getting a 2dr cummins (manual) but prefer the newer dash/ Laramie trim. It's nice to know this stuff is mostly plug and play. With channing out the gauge cluster what happens with the mileage? Is that stored in ecu? Or would the truck be tmu branded?

I have a ram 2022. I hate the rotary shift knob on the dashboard. What does it take to get a shifter on the console like the GT model don't need paddle shift. I guess I'm old school need the shifter on the console.

Hi did you ever make that single cab truck power window and locks? I have a 2013 single cab 2500 and bought a power window regulator with harness and door module. When i tried to install the stock cab wiring had less plugs wires than the wiring that was on the Window regulator pluged it and did not work. Would i need to replace cab wiring and bcm to make it work?

Looking at doing this on my 16 tradesman i have done Laramie door panels, Limited center console, laramie glove box, laramie gauge cluster and steering wheel along with Ram Rebel seats. Did the same thing now I having trouble with this, I have a 14 ram basic 5"screen, so I I have put a upgrade harness out of a Laramie, with new 8.4 whichs all works great put I have a problem, now my key fobe gets stuck in the ignition, when I switch it it off won't go past ass, only way to get it out is to unhook the negative on the battery. The wires that are connected under the gear shift off the my old harness the plug is bigger then the one on the new harness, my old one has 4 wires two black and two yellow, the new has 4 wires one black two blue and a pink look one, i spliced them together the old plug to the new wiring harness, just not sure if they are hooked up to right wires, it lets me shift the gear shift, now key fobe gets stuck. Needing help on fixing it, any ideas

I just bought a '22 1500 quad cab Bighorn with Level 1 Equipment Group and bucket seats/full console. I had thought that since I wasn't getting the 115 VAC outlets that I would get the 12 VDC outlets in the console. There are no outlets in the console with the exception of the single USB-A charge only port. I saw that you had harness provision for the 12 VDC console outlets both taped up and tucked into the dash. Do you think that my truck has that as well?

Sad thing is...engineers make it where we have to spend this much time and effort to fix/replace one but yet in literally 13 seconds factory will install the whole dash and hvac box in one solid piece

Why the manufactures havent implemented more fibe optic cabling to reduce the amount of wiring throughout the vehicle makes no sense. A ground, a power, and a fiber optic cable run to each module would simplify and lower the vehicle weight.

Many people asked great questions, but no one care about answer them. I do Not think everythink will work by replacing dash and wire harness!!! Everything must work if properly connected to fuse box...he said nothing about that...2009 fuse box with new wiring and many new options like heated seats, 8.4 condole, and much more.....Very fishy about all of that
