Glen Goins is the most underrated greatest singer. If he was still alive after 1978,P-Funk would be getting better than them we know...

Cool! This is an embryonic version of Bop Gun. The basis is still Dr. Funkenstein. The horns are playing a bit that resurfaced in Sir Nose D'Voidoffunk. Compare with 'Bop Gun- Houston 1978' - unfortunately without Glenn Goins.

There was money made!George was too busy trying to keep everything from the real writers that he got spanked too.Why you think they call it DOPE?!!And Bootsy didn't do all the tracks...they were created by the band equally.No one had sheet music...play this...play that!It was from their souls! & they got ripped off!!...by GC & company

Wow. Awed to see your name here Mr. Brailey...saying I am a big fan would be an understatement....I am a lifelong Rubber Fan and Funkateer but yeah, I wish George had been a better businessman...I don't know if it was just bad decisions or bad ethics...but all of you were creative forces who I believe are owed hundreds of millions of $ for your work.

The original P-Funk was Bernie, Gary Shider, Jerome Brailey, and Cordel Boogie Mosoon. Glen came the following year and Mike Hampton came in after Eddie Hazels drug issues but that P- Funk crew was the Funk Mob circa 75-77
@rashard46 жыл бұрын
No. It was George, Eddie, Tawl Ross, Tiki Fulwood, Billy "Bass" Nelson, Bernie, and founding Parliaments Ray Davis, Calvin Simon, Fuzzy Haskins and Grady Thomas, they were Original P-Funk...then it was them with Bootsy's and Catfish on America Eats its Young, and THEN Gary n Boogie and Hampton and other new members......

Hey Freddy, Westbound Records owns the majority of their music because George put up his publishings as collateral to cover whatever debt he had !!! Now as a end result, he's performing because he has to & has no loot coming in !!!

This is the crankenest video by the band ever. WHen they get into "The Mothership Connection is Here" & "Got to get over the hump" Listen to the crowd!! They have a little "DC" groove here. The horns, all of this. Yeah Glenn had the gift of singing and getting people up. I'm not taking nothing from Garry. Garry is tite in his own way too. But this joint is the bomb........

REAL musicians back then had to work so hard to make money, hell Dallas running back Duane Thomas in an interveiw stated how his contract in 1972 was 40,000 dollars, WTF? now you can be a scrub bench warmer and make a minimum of around 300,000. and back to musicians real musicians playing their own instruments not uding computers to enhance their voice and today you have little snot nose Beiber making millions, what B.S.
