Borla ATAK! Stock Focus RS Dowpipe has a problem!

Today I am installing my Friend, Ken's Borla ATAK Exhaust system and his CPE High-flow Catalyst Downpipe. Everything was going well until we found a problem with his factory Downpipe!

I have the Borla ATAK. Is putting in a catless downpipe make it any more louder? And if so is it significantly louder?

The ATAK is a lot louder than the S-Type, especially with a Catless down pipe

I have the borla ATAK cat back already, and I'm thinking about ordering the CPE downpipe. How do you feel about it? Does it shoot flames?

If you are able to get a Catless system it will shoot flames out of it, but with a Catted down pipe you will not shoot flames. The sound of the car is amazing though, it doesn't have excessive raspy-ness to it. The Borla ATAK System and their S-Type System has all the right pops and burbles.

I just ordered the CPE Catted Downpipe. I don't want to deal with issues of the catless pipe. So we'll have the same exhaust setup. I'm not looking forward to swapping this pipe lol.

@@taaapppit’s going to be a pain to get out the OEM pipe, but putting in the new one isn’t too bad

​@Nick_UCARS Alright, I have mine installed. I get rattles at idle sometimes. Did you experience this? Also, it keeps tripping the CEL. Did you have to remap yours? I already have a tune, but I'm thinking it needs another.

@@taaappp I did experience a CEL After the downpipe was installed, but I had my tuner turn it off when it was okay to do so. The next best thing is to get a 90degree defouler installed on the O2 Sensor that is after the catalyst. Tuners are not able to turn off the CEL any more due to EPA regulations.
