My God… I can’t even count the number of times my mouth dropped during this interview. I just reached the end and I’m immediately going to go look for this book. I’m praying it’s already on Audible because I am a truck driver. If I have to read the physical book I fear I will be sleep deprived because I know this is going to be an addictive page turner. Thank you both so much for all you do.

If you are serious about understanding Black people and the African diasporic experience. Read this book and continue following Dr. Carr. He is doing revolutionary work.

25:32 militarily "in rough parity", but in Europe they obtained fire arms in the 14th century, of course Maroccans probably got also fire arms by then, but were fire arms really far spread in West Africa, if I am not mistaken in Arabic "maghreb" is used for North Africa and West Africa.. I thought, Europeans themselves did not have parity with the Mongols in 13th century and lost all battles against the "invincible" Mongols or so... though what could be, ist that effective fire arms were not so much spread at first ... there are so many interesting aspects...
