Borodin/Gryaznov - Nocturne from String Quartet No. 2

A beautiful arrangement of a piece that was featured in the Disney short movie The Little Matchgirl. I think this arrangement really shines in the recap when the writing becomes more pianistic and free-flowing.

Every time I come back to this Master of the keyboard, I feel recentered with music and the piano in specific. She has , by my eyes, such a flawless technique and an interpretation of the work that elevates it like antigravity…. Even when the selection has sonic muscle as this piece builds. I would have one wish, impossible as it is, and that even though this is not Rachmaninov, (and she is exquisite with interpretation and technique,) he could experience this exquisite artist in person. He would be CAPTIVATED!! Your playing, captivates my musical HEART!! Thank You……

Being the only one that plays an instrument in my family, I love hearing others play piano on KZbin. I love playing for others but I never get to hear someone “play for me”.
