Here in Argentina most cars use CNG or GNC as it is called here.

I remember Diesel also used to be quite popular among Argentinians in the '90s, but now whenever I go to Florianópolis I see Argentinian minivans fitted with underbody CNG tanks, and once in a while I can feel the smell that indicates the usage of either an early CNG kit or a single-point injection.

I have questions about the timing of valves and power of explosion to drive the pistons because isn't it cng has less power than gas ?

The air - fuel mixture can be made more dense with CNG. Meaning that the mixture during CNG operation is equivalent to gasoline. But the timing won’t matter, as timing really only has to do with where the piston is located in the engine & the opening and closing of valves at the correct time. A change in power or type of fuel won’t require any timing changes

Timing is just the synchronization of the engine. Timing is based off the position of the pistons in their strokes, so it would be a non-factor with fuel type. But yes, CNG does contain less energy in the same volume than Regular Gasoline.

🙏in Hindustan we have CNG cars by Maruti Suzuki only. But why not bousch for retro fitting? Lovato Italy is there. Bousch should be here... Thanks

Here in Australia we can't buy CNG unless if you have town gas outside the house. I have never have seen a gas station sell CNG but we can get LPG but most people are going to a diesel car that is Euro 5 standed. Most taxis are going over to hybrid or diesel. The company that runs local buses in my city is moving from CNG over to Volvo Turbo Diesel Euro 5 motors in there buses.

Co2 is non flammable.. it actually extinguishes fire... So really you'd just shut the engine down via oxygen starvation.

you cannot run an engine with a non-combustable gas, CNG is just a pathway to get us to Hydrogen Fuel Cells. (the only limitation from HFC is refill stations are very sparse.)

+Zan Getsu Nothing. The tanks hold 3000 to 3600 psi inside them so they are very tough. Regular tests (car drop tests) don't tend to do much damage to the CNG cylinders. If one is ruptured, the gas floats away from the accident site instead of pooling around like diesel or gasoline.

No, the video specifically states a denser air fuel mixture can be used i.e you can run more turbo boost due to the high octane of CNG.
