Really useful appliance reviews on this channel. However, can't help but think for a £1200 outlay, the tumble drier cake is being over iced. I'm happy with my Bosch Series 6 one-appliance washer drier, which deals with Primark clothes and M+S bed linen just fine, and is also supremely quiet for use in a flat.

That looks fancy with the black panel but the cost cannot be justified. I would rather go with a LG

Is the touch interface a benefit? It sometimes feels like a flashy feature for the higher end models, but something that results in a worse user experience.

It is really good and easy to use. Also a lot easier to wipe clean than having buttons and dials on the fascia

Looks premium. But £1200 is a lot of money for a drier

Which program on this model would you recommend for wool?

Looks like this model just released as the Bosch new version in 500 series here in the USA..... BUT.... how do you now access the condenser to clean the fins??? Bosch says it is has the 'self cleaning condenser' but not sure how good it is at cleaning the lint (+ what does it do with it???) - Can you highlight how it is done?? Thanks

Quite a few of the higher end dryers have a self cleaning condenser. What it will do is to pump the water from the water container through the condenser unit at the end of the program and send any of the fluff or lint into the water container drawer. As it cleans it after every program, then it maintains a clean condenser unit which helps to maintain the energy efficiency of the appliance

Love my euronics supplied Blomberg 9kg vented tumble dryer, you’d be hard pressed to get me to give up vented. They are so quick.. time is what really matters to me.

Why are the cotton cycles so long? I don't understand how having appliances run longer saves energy.
@sha222763 ай бұрын
I don't know but I can believe that they don't use as much electricity and water. Nevertheless I run my appliances at night so I don't have to wait around
@lords-electrical3 ай бұрын
Basically they will run at a lower temperature compared to a normal condenser dryer and will save electricity in the process
@germantalash51893 ай бұрын
Because cotton cycles are made for full 9 kg load and it shows the time for a 100% load. It takes a lot of time to dry such a ball of clothes. Other programs have 50% load or less. However it shows time for full load, so if you throw for example 6,5kg , then it will dry sooner and the machine will reduce the time at the end when it senses that there is little moisture left. Washing machine cotton programs also show time for a full load. Washing machine cotton cycles increase the time, because those cycles use less water. They substitute water for increase in time to get similar washing results.

Why do all dryers shrink your hoodies and t shirts?
@RT-rh9lx3 ай бұрын
In the Flesh the control panel looks cheap and plasticky and there is a delay between touching a button and it operating. I am not convinced by the auto clean condenser either especially when sealed so you can’t clean it, my previous Bosch got full of fluff inside and the pump blocked up. It’s all expensive marketing over good function and not worth the inflated price.

imo a dryer should be no more than £500 at £1200 ur just buying it because it says bosch on it.
