For the earbuds not disconnecting from your phone, make sure the little sleeves/wings are well aligned with the little notch. Otherwise the earbuds don't sit and charge properly.

Thank you for your honest and informative review!! For my hearing, when Kevin's talking in that room, I noticed there was an echo/reverb but not when Rohan was talking in the other room. It was a little annoying for me. I think I'll stick with the Ultra Buds. For me, these are too big and the mic performance was not that good in your video. At least Bose has included wireless charging in this case. If you get a chance, please review the B&W Pi 8 buds? I think they look very similar. 😂

I have the OG QC buds and bought the QC II when it came out. I was so disappointed when I found out it's much worse than the first gen from static noise to sealing. I have to return it and decided to get the original one in the future. I'm so glad they updated the QC and I'll definitely give it a try. Thanks for the review!

For 180 bucks these look like a steal (of your money) To me it won't take long for less known brands to catch up to bose's anc, so they need to step up their game if they want to keep selling cheap buds at premium prices

My Galaxy Buds FE that i bought for $55 sounds equally good and has comparable ANC except for the not so good transparency mode. Tried the Sennheiser Accentum and it sounds way worse, it's soundstage the narrowest I've heard for that price tag.

You cannot change ANC during a phone call? That's a deal breaker for me. If you're on an important call and there is sudden noise from the outside, believe me, you want to change immediately the ANC and not first opening the app and checking it.

I just had the problem that one bud did not disconnect from the phone and stayed connected the problem was the rubber ring to stabilize the earbud wasn't straight on you have to align it or it'll be lifted from the charging case

It's a difficult question because if everything works well all the time, the Ultras are really good. Unfortunately that's to big an IF with these products.

I bought them hoping for more reliable Bluetooth but still great anc but out of 6 times I took them out of the case three times Bluetooth issues occurred (only one bud working, both connecting but not playing sound or reacting to tapping and so on). Even the anc disappointed me, since it is good but not better than my AirPods Pro 2 for example. On the pro page there is an incredible comfortable and safe fit, which is unrivaled so far. The Sound is ok but nothing to get excited about. I am gonna return them asap.

The long press was finicky for me and sometimes went into pairing mode when using it. Voice control would randomly turn off. Had the same issue of the buds nor disconnecting when in the case. The little blade was shifting and keeping it from seating properly. 100% agree with their assessment on these buds.

That’s only the case when you’re on a phone call. Otherwise you can cycle between ANC/transparency from the buds.

I have both and the new Bose 2024 QC is definitely the one. ANC and customizability is night and day better on Bose. I prefer the sound and fit on Bose also. Mic is slight better on the airpods and imo, Ambient is about even and that's something to say with Bose.

Apples rolling out effective ANC on an open ear design, unrivalled spacial audio customised to your HRTF, a ML voice isolation algorithm that runs on the earphone. And bose is doing this? The bose era is over. I loved the NC700s which spearheaded the voice isolation boom but the issues they have now under new leadership has put me off.

It's actually not that bad. If you actually compare the new QC and the Ultras, you will actually notice a difference on mic. The Ultras are much worse with gatekeeping or noise isolation. The gatekeeping on the new QC is more aggressive in noisy environment especially in windy environment, but still able to catch every words that's being said, which is rare on earbuds nowadays. It's not perfect but definitely an improvement and a great upgrade from the Ultras.

A huge and low-end case, again and again connection problems, a very very average phone call quality, at some point, you have to say no 🚱 and stop the charges, Bose is finished, and without any real questioning, it's dead for them in the Bluetooth earbud market. 🙏🏽

@@DHRME Cheaper, it's really relative, Airpods Pro 2 are regularly found at $180, Galaxy Buds 3 Pro are already at $150-$160, not to mention Soundcore Liberty 4 NC which currently cost $60-$70, and which if the Bose are rated 9/10 in ANC, are easily at 7.5-8/10 for 3 times cheaper 🤷🏽‍♂️

Its really stupid recommendation by DHRME. Did you guys really test them against the wind noise? Noise cancellation is just trash, a lot of connectivity issues, total discomfort in the ears after 30 minutes of use. Waste of $$$. I had many Bose headphones (IE v2, SoundSport -wired & QC25) for several years but now Bose products really sucks.

That may be true for you, but definitely not for everybody. When it comes to ANC it all depends from a good fit, like for every other earbud. For example I had almost zero ANC with Jabra Elite 8 active (they had it in S Tier ANC) and the highly praised Soundcore Liberty 4 ANC, regardless which tip I tried. And with these it's very good, same as comfort, can wear them for 9 hours straight without problems. Also no connectivity issue after almost 2 weeks. And sound/bass/volume wise these are the best I've ever had.
