You should check out AspiringSpike's list. It doesn't run the Lingering Souls, Vindicates, or non-Liliana walkers, and instead it runs the 3 mana Sorin that can cheat a vampire into play alongside Vein Ripper for a powerful one-two punch. That Sorin also works very well with Bloodghast, who is also a vampire, letting you sac it for a Lightning Helix or give it a +1/+1 counter and Lifelink/Deathtouch. Profane Tutor helps string together the combos more easily, so it's a more consistent deck as well.

The opponent played Not Dead After All targeting their Ragavan, in response to Smallpox (58:50). They were certainly not going to sacrifice Voidwalker. (And a misclick there would be atrocious, as compared to just choosing incorrectly in the hypothetical that they hadn't had NDAA or had targeted Voidwalker with it.)

I wonder if this would work well with Pest Control, the WB destroy all nonland permanents with MV2 or less from Thunder Junction. On the one hand, it would close off your opponent's sacrifice choices (a Ragavan, a DRC, and a Grief? well hey, wipe the first two and now you know Smallpox will take the third) - on the other hand, *you're* trying to win with tokens and cheap little dudes, though killing Bloodghast is free and killing planeswalker tokens is... at least inexpensive.
