Boston Dynamics' Atlas Bot SHOCKS Investors
The gap between the things robots and humans can do is closing at an alarming rate. As humanity continues to push the limits of what is possible with AI, a lot of understandably concerned industry leaders have spoken out about the dangers of going too far with technology and artificial intelligence. The main fear on every expert’s mind is that we are quickly approaching a singularity, or a “point of no return” in which technological developments become so advanced that the effects on society are irreversible and completely uncontrollable. One company whose robots have literally been making leaps and bounds of progress is Boston Dynamics, the creators of the most advanced humanoid robots known to man. Keep watching to learn why Boston Dynamics’ most recent updates on Atlas were so shocking to investors and industry leaders, and what this could mean for the future of AI and the world at large. For viewers who don’t know, Atlas is the name that Boston Dynamics gave to the humanoid robot that the company has been developing with funding from the US Government and the Department of Defense, since 2011.
In today's video we look at Boston Dynamics' Atlas Bot SHOCKS Investors...Keep watching to see In today's tech news, we dive deep into the world of advanced robots, particularly focusing on the groundbreaking innovations by companies like Boston Dynamics with their renowned Atlas bot, and Tesla's recent foray into the realm with the Tesla bot. These humanoid robots, eerily resembling human robots, represent the pinnacle of technological advancement in the AI race. As the tech race heats up, we'll also explore the significant investments pouring into AI companies, the potential of these bots in military applications, and the role of DARPA in shaping the future of war robots. Join us as we dissect the ongoing tech war between giants like Tesla and Boston Dynamics and what this means for the future of AI and robotics.

@6:02 the "robot" that was accused of being a Boston Dynamics robot was actually a skit by Corridor Digital. it was hilarious. Corridor's Crew never meant this to be perceived as real. They even did the breakdown of how they faked the whole thing. it's worth watching if you have a few minutes.

It's odd that you're talking about technological singularity as though it pertains to the future of Boston Dynamics but anyone who knows anything about Boston Dynamics knows that while they have some of the most advanced robots, they're not even remotely close to ever being a leader in AI, so as the narrator of this clip you've has fallen asleep at the wheel! Now the real future lies in combining advanced robotics(such as we see here) with leading AI companies like ScienceSoft. The concept of Singularity applies only to advanced AI systems, not robotics

Why did you use sciencesoft as an example of a leading AI research company? They didn't even develop their own AI. Google's Gemini, Microsoft's Copilot, OpenAI, or IBM's Watson would be a better example. These companies are actually leading the way.

You nailed the issue here. It's silly to think of AI taking over on its own. It is imperative to think of AI being hacked and used as weaponry, and to be as proactive as never before on how NOT to let that happen. One thing that will definitely not work is to try to ban the development and use of AI/robotics. That cat's been out of the bag since digital computing became a reality.

you actually are faster and more efficent when you wait out some technological advances. For example, building it now may cause more harm than anything else because the robots AI might not be advanced enough to traverse with limited akkumulation therefore tripple the cost instead of waiting 10 years to catch up on updates and improvements that are more cost and time efficent and reduce the harm on hardware that we send up. We should develop it to the point that its more commercially available on earth before sending it on beta hard and software to space.

I'm not hearing mixed messages from the company, but definitely mixed from their use. It sounds like Boston Dynamics has one goal and is trying to stick to it, but governments and militaries have another, and I'm not surprised. There has not been a single form of human transportation that has not been weaponized (camels, horses, carts, sleds, boats, cars, trucks, airplanes, helicopters, drones, etc.), and I am confident that some idiot will put a weapon onto a bot and give the bot full control over when to fire. I just don't know when or who.

Hmmm.. the military can use this Atlas tech as a soldier. Add armor and a weapon and you have a robot that are on the front lines. But less human casualties is a + and thousands can be produced. It's harder these days to recruit people. It's easier to introduce a new type of soldier into the battlefield. They'll will do what they are programed to do or in the worse case scenario it will do what it wants to do. Scary

6:00 The claims made about this footage are disingenuous at best and fear mongering at worst. That footage is actually just a video done with CGI layered over an actor in a motion capture suit. It was made by Digital Corridor as satyre to the Boston Dynamics tech demo videos. You can even see their logo on the back of that robot's head. They made a few other videos in this style and you can even see the making of those videos on their KZbin channel. Anyone who uses that footage like this video did, basicly framing it as Boston Dynamics footage of real events instantly loses all credibility over their entire video. Trash reporters who don't verify their sources are nothing more then liars who would destroy jobs and lives for a week's paycheck. Shame they resorted to this. The subject of the video was real cool. But without credibility, this video's now 100% worthless.
