Isn't it fantastic that we can go back and see and listen to something as wonderful as this! Thank you SO MUCH for posting this....don't know how I ever missed the original broadcast, but how could anything get much better than Natalie Cole, Johnny Mathis and John Williams paying tribute to the great Nat King Cole. Really loved the pianist playing the King Cole Trio's music.

I met Natalie one day, and she was so TALL. I asked if I could kiss her, and she said: "A course, honey!!" I will never forget that. If only her father could see her singing his songs in this glorious concert... he would have been so proud.

I wish we had another Performing Arts Channel. I miss it. Remember, when the Bravo channel use to be a performing arts channel and showed only concerts, operas, ballets, symphonies, etc...

...this was RIGHT before Natalie returned to the Pop charts with her 1987 Album, "Everlasting", w/ FIVE Top 20 hits (on different charts); ..Here, she showed that she was adept at traditional Pop that brought her to "Unforgettable" heights, in 1991.....

"GOD bless all of these musicians...". What do you mean? What is it you are instructing your imaginary deity to "bless" them with? What EXACTLY are you saying? Do you even know?

Johnny Mathis said that the iconic Nat King Cole was his idol and inspiration as a singer.

I bought the vinyl at the time this recording was released and later bought the CD configuration of the album too. I still have both and never stop listening to it. Both Natalie and Johnny were at their top form at this live performance and john williams' Boston Pops adds to the everlasting magic.

Only just found this super concert. What a great legacy Nat 'King' Cole left us with some wonderful songs sung with such feeling by Johnny and Natalie. Thank you so much for these memories of my younger days.

IN 76 YEARS NOT ONE OF YOU OFFERED ME FOOD WATER OR. HEAT FOR THE NIGHT. YOU'RE A WICKED BUNCH OF PEOPLE TO DO THIS TO A CHILD WHO NOW MUST GO HOME TO CROATIA. AMERICA HAS FAILED ME.

I HAVE BEEN FORGOTTEN FOR 76 YEARS. I DON'T EXIST...YOU DECLARED THIS OVER AND OVER. I LIVE IN ENORMOUS PAIN FROM THE LACK. OF DECENT STANDARDS OF FOOD AND WATER. I WAS ONLY A MEANS TO AN END MY HEALTH WAS OF NO SIGNIFICANCE TO ANYONE IN AMERICA. WE PART WAYS NOW. THERE'S NO COMING BACK FOR ME BECAUSE I NEVER MATTERED AT ALL FROM THE BEGINNING

ONCE MORE, I DON'T DO SADIE HAWKINS DAY. THIS MEANS YOU JOHNNY, NEEDS. TO MAKE THE MOVE ON ME. THE ONLY REASON IT HAS TAKEN THIS LONG IS I WALKED OUT THE DOOR OVER AND OVER AGAIN, BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T WANT TO OR WERE AFRAID TO MAKE THE FIRST MOVE. ITS WHAT EVERY MAN MUST DO. YOU WON'T BE REJECTED.
@jennefercochran259 Жыл бұрын
ALL I DID WHEN YOU NEVER SHOWED UP WAS TO BUSY MYSELF FOR AWHILE JUST WAITING FOR YOUR RETURN. I DON'T PLAY GAMES NOR PLAY THE GAME OF CHARADES. THAT'S KID STUFF AND I HAVE NEVER PLAYED GAMES LIKE YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS IN HOLLYWOOD DO TO ME. IT'S WICKED.

UNDERSTAND,, I HAVE MULTIPLE OPTIONS FOR REALLY GOOD MEN. ADD TO THIS, I AM VERY EASY TO GET ALONG WITH AND HAVE BEEN ATTRACTED TO A FEW GOOD MEN, MYSELF. MY ADVICE IS DON'T WAIT ANY LONGER BECAUSE I AM BOTH BORED. BY THIS PROCESS AND PROGRESS OF THE LUNATIC FRING TO BRING ABOUT A LASTING CHANGE TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT.

Natalie made a mistake in Mona Lisa, she sang "in your style" in minute 14:04, but it should be "in your smile"; correct me if I'm wrong please. Well she's not with us anymore, but it really surprised me. We forgive you anything Naty, Rest in Peace singing with the angels, dearest. Check Nat's version: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fpWlpKhtn86Mirc
