Great review! Unfortunately since Corollas are a high demand low supply vehicle (Corolla has one of the lowest market day supply of all vehicles in the American market), many dealers insist on pre-installed accessories & markup that jackup the price. My friend recently paid 30k OTD for a new gasoline 2025 Toyota Corolla LE here in Texas. Also, here in Texas, finding a Corolla LE with one of the LE packages is impossible, you have to go out of state. That's why I wish the Corolla LE & SE came with standard blind spot monitoring like most of it's rivals (Elantra, Jetta, Sentra, Mazda 3, Civic from Sport trim onwards etc.) Just wanted to point out that in the real world, due to low supply and high demand, this base Corolla LE can easily be 25-26k instead of 23k. There's a higher supply of Civics relative to the Corolla

Great video. Here's my take. The Corolla is suppose to be an economy car. It is suppose to be basic. Having a Toyota or Honda badges means that it need also to be reliable as we pay a little extra money just for that.169hp for a basic car is more than enough. Automatic transmission should be an option. The base model should be manual. Having an A/C in 2024 is a must, so this I wont argue. Keep in mind this is basic a transportation. Less is more. Everyone wants to have the same comfort, feel and all the bell and whistles as a Camry or an Accord, in a Corolla. This is wrong. It needs to have a clear demarcation between the two segments. Keep the price low, make it reliable, this is what the Corolla and the Civic should be, and needs to be. Basic transportation. Want more? Upscale your model. Logical.
