Its not so much of a random reissue and ill tell you why based on my findings at target and a buddy that ordered one online. Dust. They were sitting in the back of the warehouse and there was dust on the ones at my target and my friends box was dusty as all hell. It wasnt a reissue it was an oppurtunistic liquidation

i just picked this up last week. Had to hit it with the floor polish, and my gun was falling apart, but it helped him stand up better, and the gun is staying sturdy

I actually got the oversized KO version for about that price. The Orion Pax makes a good MP scale stand in. Also the unique thing is the KO version has all the trailer kibble engineered into the legs and keeps the arms clean.

I've had mine since he was first released, Maybe I got lucky but my copy has no loose joints the stickers are still as he just came out of the box. And still looks great after so many transformations.

I wasn't lucky enough to get Star Convoy but I was lucky enough to acquire Optimus Prime the first time around, and he is subsequently the only figure from that line I kept. I got some gap fillers for Prime's thighs and Orion's legs, and added some yellow paint to the lights on the chest...It makes a big difference in looks in my opinion. I am also lucky in that the feet tolerances were not an issue on my copy. Great video, my dude.

I want to say I had the same issue with my star convoy with the chrome part not plugging in. I think it was an assembly error, and it can be fixed by flipping the part that connects the chrome part to the chest. Try doing that, not sure which way it should go exactly but if you try every way you will find the right one

Being the 40th anniversary i am guessing they are going with other releases again of optimus prime. STAR CONVOY is TAKARA ORIGINAL However.... i got Nemesis prime version this february from japan. And he is the NEMESIS PRIME I ALWAYS WANTED!!! And I freaking Love him to the core. He is stiff and strong. (including feet) And a tip. If you get enough imagination, you can make a turret out of the trailer for orion pax to sit. My nemesis pax, the back, i used to store his sword. NOW, i got pangu black lion, and use his black cape... on nemesis prime.... and he looks so fekin dope!!! HOWEVER, part 2... This mold feels like.. Nemesis Prime wears it better, maybe for the black color. something is wrong on how you assembled the trailer.... i'll get back to you when i work on mine Why you hated the combiner wars and titans return? I am shocked. The world is ending!!! Serious. why? Don't forget, there was a lot of issues with getting rights back to use same names or even actual vehicle modes for example, blast off, he is space shuttle, but they did him as plane. Its a very confusing issue regarding rights of anything. And Prime trilogy was not to be G1, it was an event going on the comics, so many are based on idw . Titans return was... is amazing. Everyone is headmaster and they can pilot the vehicles, titan masters , more heads and become also weapons... plus. not having a head on the bot, it gives a complete free range of transformations. Clear plastic, my weakness....i kiss it so much. you have tons of play value ! everytime i pick my skullcruncher, i just can't stop staring at his tongue of clear plastic. its so hypnotic. Chromodome's wheels in clear plastic... oh my sweet sugar salty god. Power of the primes was an unification gimmicks, but the higher ups rushed power of the primes because of brand merge with takara. but truth be told...power of the primes is not at all that bad. Prime masters, are the pretenders and also the primes, which yes, those insignias are for each prime, for each of their power. The deluxes and voyagers still have those little dots where you can plug titan /power masters, fro example riding on a car, or let say broadside in fleet mode, you can put the little guys having a party on the sea xD plus, more combiners. Granted... some , like jazz, had some issues, and honestly, i preferred power of the primes jazz, since studio series 86 is on black list of yellowing issues. Still, overall , prime trilogy is full of stuff to have fun, and gimmicks. Titans Return alpha trion is my definitive one, and he is using starscream coronation's cape, and he looks awesome. War For Cybertron was breath of great fresh air, indeed.

Yo the Nemesis version of this is fire! I love CW. I didnt really care for TR or POTP. I thought their designs and QC were pretty meh. A few are great - like the Jumpstarters and Takara exclusives - but much of them were mehformers to me. Now Siege... this is the best thing to happen to the mainline imo.

I have the same issue with Pax’s leg from when it first came up. The combined feet have done ok. I think Star Convoy and Nemesis Prime did better for mine.

@@BotBenderOrinj The Season 3/4 "Futuristic era" of G1 rarely gets much love. For the most part, Hasbro is just content to re-release the Season 1/2 crew endlessly, plus SOME 86' movie peeps. With the noticeable exception being Titans Return: That one went all-out on the Headmasters, Targetmasters, Powermasters, etc. So i have a Huge softspot for it. Even though i experienced G1 in it's entirety, i also really enjoyed the Futuristic era too.

It's a product called Kiki. It goes on as a liquid then dries like the glue from grade school lol. It can get into hard to reach hinge areas and thicken up the connection point.

I prefer the star convoy. The core prime is already a voyager size and it's optimus prime. Then combine to a super prime which is star convoy.

I skipped this in favor of the Nemesis Prime black redeco. I feel like the all over black hides the odd details, and the red off-colors on the trailer all fade into a consistent and uniform color scheme. Monochromatic, true, but as they say, black matches everything.

potp wasn't an exceptional figure, but it really nailed the feeling of the "small figure grows into the big one" of orion pax and optimus (and the only hot rod/rodimus that manages that) this mold version is unfortunatelly the worse, as star convoy is very touched up, and nemesis pax (and I hate that head has never been used again) had a few touch-ups you can see that, unlike the primal and hot rod/rodimus version, this wasn't as planned from the start as the other were, but is far from the worst part this is nice to get more of the figure around, for people that didn't get the original, or even wasn't released in their country this one figure is where the sword of QC became evident: different factories have differnet care in preventing CQs, with some copies being perfect, while other almost breaking down on their own, following some evident geographical schemata I also hate stickers, my hands just degrades them to the point of dissolving them. I dunno if you're interested, but grabbing the hot rod /rodimus - rodimus unicronus set is a whole other story, as his only crime is to be forever out of scale with anything else

Yeah, definitely some cool gimmicks. I actually liked that Hot Rod/Rodimus figure, with the exception of the kind weird shoulders. And youre abso right: different factories have different levels of QC. Im glad things improved once it got to the WFC line :)

@BotBenderOrinj I got the Star Convoy when PotP came out, it's basically a retool of the Optimus, but the smaller bot is heavily retooled with the Optimus chest and head. I usually keep in Star Convoy mode because the Optimus proportions are really weird

Yea and FOIL stickers are the worst! ESPECIALLY when they apply them over molded detail. Like TR / POTP blitzwings wings. UGH!!! Friggin' grinds my gears! Because of the Hasbro vow against no more plastic... I kinda wanna say that these are leftover stock from the original release... if they 'reissued' it... you'd think they would have not packaged him in plastic tray.... I could be wrong tho. Still kinda neat that people get to relive the joys of this figure. That cab's got some thik hips! lol

Lots of people and fans hated the stickers on The Power Of The Primes toys, me included. I don’t even use most of the stickers on my models that I build and paint unless it’s a detail that I can’t paint properly or unless it’s water slides decals. Then they can go on but otherwise I don’t approve.

Man i saw a bunch of these at tarjay but i had to pass. He does look pretty sick, big ol prime with lil OPax in the chest, but he does need some more sturdiness to support all that glory, still cool though. When i started collecting again, it was like catching up with the different lines, and at first i loved the headmaster gimmick in the titans return guys but besides that you right, not the best figures kinda floppy and chunky but okay. Siege really got things going in the right direction 👍👍 if this guy goes on clearance ill totally scoop but for now im cool. Do need an OPax foure though!!😅 Star convoy is pretty sweet, would be cool if they redid this mold in todays standards to being these both back with proper engineering and qc of course haha
