Botfly

The new Svarog Botfly slug mold is pretty dang awesome to cast. I had great accuuracy using their sverboy slug mold in the past and this is pretty much similar. Check out their page on eBay for all their lastest and greatest slug designs!

You are right Mr. Guthrie. The smoking method is not enough to prep the mold. I used CRC Dry Graphite spray. I found the BPR-12 double ended wad with no pedals a heavier version of the Super Short green wad. I put the X12X, or BPGS under that or the plex seal. I've been trying some different powders In the velocity range 1310 - 1390 Green dot, Winchester WSF, HS6 And using the 1 1/8 oz payload weight data for Remington Nitro, or Winchester hulls, and Fiocchi hulls. I had to dress the edges of the fins on the center pin of my Zveroboy mold with a fine file. It made a huge difference in ease of release

Great video Leon! do you have experience with the lee 7/8 0z drive key slug ? I've been experimenting with it with a rifle barrel at 50 yards it works OK, At 100 yards it hits point of aim occasionally, but more often than not, it is way off. very inconsistent at 100 yards? any ideas whats going on??

How you cast your slugs so shiny? I use pure lead for my slugs and they are kinda dull grey

Vanilla Gorilla yup. Plumbata style slugs shoot great in both rifled and smooth.

Hey brother, thanks for replying! I did a video on the range testing of the Botfly. I can’t recall off the top of my head (out of town), but if you watch that video, I used Steel, Longshot, and Blue Dot.
