Hi, I've been waiting for your tutorial for a couple of days, i tuned my guitar and now I'm ready to start! Joni Mitchell on mama cass video had the capo on the 5th fret, I've seen other tutorials with the capo on the 4th fret like yours

Hi Stef, thanks for watching. I've written this chart as a trasncription from the original recording. There will also be different live versions. You could 100% play exactly the same as this on the 5th fret, it'll just be a semitone higher. As an aside, if you drop if down from 4th to to open (no capo) it'll be easier for you to sing along with as a fella - generally dropping the pitch a major 3rd is a rule of thumb to transpose female sung songs to a better pitch for fellas. Great tutorial! For the verse, I noticed while playing along to Joni’s recording, the full verse length is 16 measures, but here you have charted out the first 8 measures of the verse. Do these 8 measures just repeat exactly the same for the 2nd half of the verse?

Really nice. All I could notice wrong right off the bat was where she says "I really don't know clouds/love/life" ... and you do that strumming bridge thing-- the bass note is not the lowest string, but the second lowest string.
