Dr. Idriss is the perfect example of how cosmetic dermatology should look on a 39 year old woman. I see other derms on here looking like a marionette doll made of wax with all the fillers in their face but she looks so gorgeous and natural.

Well some women do look young regardless of their age and some women start aging when they are 25. It really depends on many things. So dont assume that a 39 years should look very old because its not.

I got fillers in my lips from two different dermatologist, one of them said, do not squeeze during healing and the other said I should move it around a bit (I was scared so I didn’t and it was bumpy for a few months but now it’s smooth). Is there a reason for this and why was the information was different? Was it because of the type of filler use perhaps? 🤔

Which is better for forehead wrinkles? I have always had the deep forehead wrinkles and I turn 40 very soon. I notice that I having issues with applying make up because they are so deep. I have considered they would reduce if I was less expressive but that seems like it would only reduce the movement but not help with the deep lines. What do you recommend?
@pasta_girl

Botox as it “freezes” those expressions, which leads the wrinkles to deepen further. Try face training also to be less expressive with your face. Overtime this will help, obvs it’s just very difficult to do. For existing wrinkles, you’ll want to introduce a vitamin a derivative so like a prescription retinoid or retinols to start off

What is your thought on Perbelle CC cream? The active ingredient looks like just sunscreen.
@nikki1400

In the US, sunscreen ingredients are considers drugs and not cosmetics, and therefore will have seperate labeling (the active ingredients label) for those ingredients. A cc cream is meant to have sunscreen in it, so this sound about right.

Most likely it was left over from a patient. Usually you pay for filler by the syringe but most people when ordering 1+ don’t use the full 2 or perhaps in the retouch they only need under 1 full etc

I'm 23 and my doctor adviced me to do filler to get rid of my smile lines, should I go for it?

Lol, you don't have to. Just take care of your skin and think of skincare in a healthwise way. I got filler for my eczema and I really hate how it looks on me aesthetically, it does change the features a little. It's a little unnerving to see your smile lines etc flatten out so weirdly 😂

Nah. Fillers are super temporary. Get a pillow that prevents you from sleeping on your side, start using a retinol or prescription retinoid, try to train your face, use hydrating ingredients in your moisturizer, use sunscreen!

I follow several plstic surgeons as well as dermatologists, and they all say that fillers do travel which means they don't stay at the original injection site. You're so young. Try a good routine of vit C serum, glycolic acid, moisturizer and sunscreen in AM. For PM routine, use retynaldehide, and moisturizer. Sleep on your back. Drink plenty of water and get good rest.

Also, do you wear makeup?? If so, you have to avoid laughing or smiling like “cheesin it” smiling for like the first hour or so. This can happen to anyone it’s not a personal issue you have. Makeup just takes longer to set than we realize. If you weren’t aware maybe this will help that 😊 I got mad at my bf when he was there while I was getting ready and kept making me laugh and I told him he’s ruining my makeup and giving me wrinkles

thank you but i really hate this whole thing with empowering plastic surgery. plastic sugery , specifically fillers, changes the way you look permanently. if you're self confident, love yourself, why would you want to change the way you look permanently & in a non-natural way? 'only you can be you', yeah sure but you're auite literally changing yourself, erasing your uniqueness throu fillers.
