I enjoyed this video Willie and Sarah. The only thing missing was Jack Spaniels and his antics. Loved the collaboration with Kate and Fleur. The giant clamshell is amazing. You and Sarah are very talented and well matched. You make a handsome couple. I envy you. Greetings from eastern North Carolina. Take care and stay dirty...in a clean sort of way. 😁

@@dirtysecretsofscotland I think most people like to see the holes filled in, with maybe a small spoils pile left behind for non-diggers. It's one reason Willie is one of the only diggers I watch, the other reason is he is great fun!

Sarah, I bet the large ink well is cut rock crystal, not glass. And that is why its so heavy. Willie, to clean the rusty looking stains off the inside of the bottles, you can use bird grit for budgies, with baking soda. It's just abrasive enough to clean but not scratch. One of the bottle guys here in USA uses it. What's nice is the grit can be reused!

Hi there you two. If you can make sure that your tiles are frost proof for ever using outside. The reason I have for saying this is because back in the early seventies I made a tile topped table to use in the garden.I used old fireplace tiles,not realising that they weren’t frost proof.!!! Alas,come springtime my great table was no more.It had shattered in to many,many pieces.!!!!!!! As always,love from Jo. xxxxxxx

This was a fun video, although digging that deep hole looked like hard work. I've just started watching Kit and Caboodlers on KZbin last week, so it was funny to see them turn up in this video! I would use a bed warmer lol, if it was whole and had a lid that fit, I love a hot water bottle, not an electric blanket....you can't move away from that to escape the heat if you get too warm lol. I loved that clam shell! I don't blame you at all for liking that, I think I'd use it as a bowl as well, I'd have loved to have seen it cleaned up. Thanks for another belter video 🤗....time to see what Sarah's been up to 😁

Crikey Willie I don't even dig holes that deep at work! Unfortunately only thing we find are old bricks and rocks 🤔 I thought you had met Kit & Caboodlers before, which was how I found your channel, but looking back through your videos it was Northern Mudlarks
@dirtysecretsofscotland2 жыл бұрын
Hi Brett - yeah, it was the deepest I've dug down yet. The problem with this tip is that its pretty much all been dug - it's a well known tip... So you need to dig deeper than the last person was prepared to go. Yes - the first collaboration we did was Northern Mudlarks - they pretty much helped launch the channel. I'll always be thankful of that. Willie 🙂

Have you ever done mosaic table tops or garden pots? A friend of mine takes interesting broken bits and glues them to pots or other surfaces, then grouts them to make decorative items. She particularly like bits of painted china and tiles. Ok, this might be a stupid question, but for safety's sake wouldn't it be wise to rope Willie's waist and drive a heavy stake outside the hole so he could pull himself out if the walls began to collapse? 🤷
