[Anyone else getting 2 audio tracks starting at 29:47? Gail's voice explaining the little pathways in the grass + Alex doing the wrap-up? I've dropped my device a couple of (hundred) times & am wondering if it's finally pay back time.] Thanks so much for the lovely flowers + labels. You have no idea how much I appreciate the identifications. I have what seems like miles of rockery around my lot, & your pictures gave me some great ideas for planting. Enjoy working with your beautiful crystals. Can't wait to see what you do with them. You''ll show us, yes? Alex, good luck with your exfoliated 🦵 & 💪. The black & blue markers will ensure that all can see how smooth your skin is (between the crusty bits that were over-exfoliated). Although your method is economical, you may want to consider a trained 🥼 aesthetician in the future. 😁 Be careful out there, you two! ❤

Geologist here! The hexagonal crystal found at about the 25 minute mark looks like hexagonal calcite based off of the angles and shape. Looks a lot like the hexagonal calcite from the Sweetwater mine if you'd like to look up references!

Gail, it’s apparent where Alex gets her dry sense of humor from 😂 Loved seeing your mysterious ball and Alex’ “Lordy” after she slipped, along with “There are better ways to exfoliate.” 😂😂 Watching the seemingly barren land becoming, all of a sudden, a lush area with water and vibrant colors was amazing. Looking forward to seeing your finds after cleaning and tumbling (and maybe torching)👍🤗🤗

Thank you and Gail, for taking us along to enjoy such breathtaking landscapes. Looking forward to seeing your gems clean and sparkly. ((Hugs)) to you both.

I loved the sense of humor in this episode. Alex jokes about better ways to exfoliate after she shredded her leg like grating cheese by sliding down a mountain. As she fell I kept saying, “Oh no, oh no, oh no!” So glad you didn’t break anything. Everything for the views. Then Gail, jokes about the crystal she found that was round, with dimples and has a name on it. Fun hunting with you.

What an exciting adventure today ladies! My heart was in my throat when Alex slid down the steep hillside, and I'm so glad she didn't hurt herself too badly. That fossil was cool. I imagine a paleontologist, after slicing a cross section, could tell if it was plant or bone. So interesting. I especially loved to drone footage of that wild and beautiful area. I hope you can do more of that in future. Thank you for naming all the lovely plants, which I find beautiful and interesting. Those purple fluorite crystals are beautiful! Can't wait to see your cache of finds all cleaned up!

Alex and Gail search hill and dale for quartz and fluorite and slag glass. But be careful don’t trip! Don’t misstep and slip, down a steep bank and scratch up your….. sorry, I can’t think of a word to rhyme with glass.😁 All kidding (and bad poetry) aside….please be careful out there. Now I feel home sick all over again, I regret not taking the chance to visit all those years ago, but I learnt about the world ticket after I had gotten back from the States. It was nice seeing the flowers again. As a family we use to take weekend trips when both my parents got the weekends off or if Dad had a call out to a big job, we would all tag along and pitch the tent for the weekend. I miss those days of my childhood😊 Thanks for sharing the plants and flower lol it was nice knowing I got them right before their names popped up on the screen🤗

Oooo, those insulators are just big garden beads! Nice going, Alex! You film as you fall, assess the damage, then get back to the hunt. I admire your spirit. I know you two carry packs and bags and trowels and tweezers, but you might add some kind of multitool to your kit. Something like a leatherman, with pliers, knife, screwdrivers, can openers and more. For those cotter-pin-type jobs, or prying, poking, cutting. Swiss Army or scout knife? Though they have no pliers. Well, there are lots out there, at all price points. Could come in handy with your ebike as well. Enjoyed your adventure! Well, not the falling bit.

The deep purple fluorite crystals are so pretty, they remind me of my son Andrew's amethyst birthstone. Dear Lady Gail At 6.15 min you asked what the round, white object you found might be. I think it's an old albino cannon ball from a small type of cannon that was usually mounted on a sailing ship's railing.
