I know there is a really bad Victorious episode. It's called "Brain Squeezers" what happenes is all of the main characters go on a game show where they are brutally punished for getting the questions wrong. I don't mean like an electric shock, I mean like getting puss blasted in their face or a bag of batteries dumped on their head. The host and the rest of the game show people get off scott-free and despite winning, Tori doesn't get her money

Drake and Josh might have gotten punished for acting like jerks, but their sister Megan sure as heck didn't.

I think for the most part, the stuff Megan did was funny, never too mean-spirited, and in some cases deserving. The only time I felt she went too far is the Helicopter episode when she hung up on them when they were calling for help. Even as a kid I thought that was too harsh, because she's ignoring them when their lives are in danger

True. Though I will say Drake and Josh was funny enough that even with it's more frustrating parts it's still very enjoyable. Plus at least Megan was supposed to be the antagonist and she did further a lot of plots. I don't think the show wanted us to like her so much as "like to hate" her. Granted, yes she should have been punished more, and toned way way down. I have a whole speech I'm working on that will pop up on the Bakery at some point.

I think there's a bit of a trend. Drake and Josh seemed to have a balance of Over the top Humor and Realism. iCarly tipped the scale to Over the top Humor agianst Realism. Sam & Cat Just broke the freakin' scale to irreparable pieces. I'd include Victorious, but I never really watched that...at all...if I could help it so not sure where'd that fit.

I'm with you about the whole "applause" thing in recent T.V. shows. Honestly it makes the show more pathetic when it does something like that. Like you said its was fine back then, but now its very annoying to listen too, especially if the "applause" is meant for the WORST characters in that show.

I hate the whole concept of the show. You take the worst, most flanderized characters from iCarly and Victorious, and throw them into a show where every episode is a BABYSITTING EPISODE. And the other characters suck too.

I always believe that the two-face persona of Sam's character was that it was trying to be a live action rendition of Helga Pataki from "Hey Arnold". Think about it, both characters are tomboy blondes, have neglectful parents, and even though they harass their peers, they try at times show signs in caring about them (in Hegla's case to the extreme). The problem with Sam's character is that she doesn't have enough moments of her being aware that her actions have consequences and never really changes as a result of them within both shows, whereas Helga does become a better person after each season, (To the point of almost having her own spin-off series) like in episode "Phoebe Breaks a Leg" when Helga finds out that Phobe was hit by a bus due to the fact that she was making Phobe do too many errands for her, she becomes horrified of the fact that her selfishness almost killed her best friend and genuinely tries to make it up to her . In order for Sam's character to work, she needed to have more apologetic moments and change DRASTICALLY from where she started from iCarly to this series otherwise she comes off as an uncivilized brute with no moral values.

This is so true!!!! And we have always known that Helga deep down has a soft side and is a good person. She has so many scenes that show that like when she gave up a present she really wanted just to make Arnold believe in miracles again. And in TJM (which came out almost a year ago) she literally helped Arnold find his parents! And in Phoebe Take The Fall, she was being selfish towards Phoebe but then genuinely felt guilty and gave up her spot in the competition for her. And many other things. And we have a much better explanation of why she acts this way. She is a good person deep down. As for Sam.... it seems like she is more of a bad person and it doesn’t seem like they try to show signs of her being a good person. But Helga has got endless scenes showing she has a soft side. Honestly I could talk all day about them (Lol I fangirled when I read “Helga Pataki” because I am obsessed with her and I am her biggest fan probably)

How I would improve this episode. Make the girl a super smart villain, someone clever and evil but likable and fun enough that you kind of root for her... Now that I think about it this show would have been better if Megan was in it.

To be clear, there are still quite a few iCarly episodes I plan on watching again to see if they are bad enough for this show, (pretty much all of the specials, and the stupid seddie arc). All I meant was that the three randomish episodes I saw the other day weren't bad enough, and I wanted to watch something I was pretty sure would make good material for the show (Sam and Cat was a safe bet). Also yes, Victorious, Henry Danger, and Drake and Josh episodes will be on this show as well, I just need to familiarize myself with the former two shows as well as wait until some kind of milestone episode to review an ep of Drake and Josh. So there might be one more iCarly rant before I rant on a Victorious or Henry Danger episode.

Fabian Machielsen Yes! I agree. Even despite the age, it shouldn't be weird to not be kissed at all. I mean, the episode made it seem like it's such a big deal, and if you were never kissed, you'll be picked on for it. And personally, I don't think that's a good message to be putting into a bunch of self-conscious teens' heads. That's pretty much saying, "Haha You've never had a boyfriend/girlfriend. There must be something wrong with you."

Ok, a few things... 1. The laugh-track thing is just Nick assuming that their audience consists entirely of a bunch of sadists. 2. Someone needs to make a YTP where Pieguy says, "They actually burned money!" and then show Mr. Krabs' reaction to when SpongeBob said it in Pretty Patties. When Pieguy said that I immediately imagined Mr. Krabs screaming :D And say, Pieguy, do you bake or something? Got any recipes?

Victorious: "The Breakfast Bunch" I at first thought it was just a weird, random episode. But, after looking it up, just like Sam & Cat, it has a random parody that most kids must get. How many kids would have seen The Breakfast Club?

I didn't understand it at first, my mom actually had to tell me it was a parody of some movie I haven't seen yet to know what it was. I thought the characters were acting weird until I knew that, after viewing it then I thought it was hilarious. The intentional bad acting I thought was pretty funny and although kid audiences won't get most the jokes, teenage audiences would probably understand the jokes and might even enjoy them. Edit: I deleted the last sentence, I don't understand TV ratings really, I only really play video games and don't watch TV much, so excuse my misunderstanding.

HissinSpit The problem I have with parodies is that it has to be something that you can fit into the show without having everyone act out of character. They had to essentially "clean slate" the show's continuity for the length of that episode.

For Victorious, rant on the episode "The Breakfast Bunch". The characters are blander then usual, there's LOTS of continuity screw ups, and the plot is a spoof on The Breakfast Club, which means TONS of them doing stupid PG twists to the original R-rated humor of the film.

The ending of this episode is a reoccurring problem in Schneider's shows.A lot of his show's episodes just seems stop,usually after the main characters doing something cruel.They really don't have ending a lot of the time.Not sure if that means Dan doesn't know how to end the episode or its meant to be funny. This even goes for the finale of some of his shows.Those being Victorious and Sam & Cat.Their finale episodes really aren't finales,they don't resolve any loose plot or character threads and the episodes don't really have a resolution.

That's an awful ending to the episode! Even if they did turn back for her (which I'd like to think, because the idea of them leaving her in the graveyard all night with that creepy guy makes me pissed off and horrified), they shouldn't have left her in the first place. Also: I wasn't sure what type of baking-related title you would use for this show, but I like what you went with. You should call Victorious "Victartious" or "Victorteious"

I don't even remember what the name of this episode is, but you should review the episode of Sam and Cat when everyone is addicted to the app 'Brain Crush'. That episode just INFERIATES me! Everyone, even the main characters are just so aggravating with their words and actions. Especially during Cats play. I understand that this is a TV show and all, but if you ever go to see a play, you don't spend the whole time on you're phone. And you don't tell the actors to shut up so you can play on it! Point is, this episode is terrible and I'd really like to see you tear it apart.

How about iHalfoween? Really, the ending of the episode is enough to make it worth your treatment. It ends with Neville constantly being dropped from like 10 feet in the air into a giant crate of toys (don't ask), clearly being physically pained by this. And what did he do to deserve this? Did he try to hack, terminate, or gain control of iCarly as he normally does? No. The only thing he did in the episode was give Carly, Sam, and Freddie candy that would make their voices incredibly deep temporarily. Seriously, that's the worst thing he does. He temporarily (TEMPORARILY for god's sake!) makes their voices deep, so that's worthy of physical pain. Just...just watch it. It's cruel, it's stupid, and it's clear that the show had run out of ideas at that point.

+ChicagoDomer2596 Still, you know Neville knew that they would torment whoever was in the purple robot costume. It's really hard for me to determine what was a worse season 6 episode: that or iPear Store. They're both Freddie Torture Porns, they both have lackluster plots, they were both poorly written, and in all honesty, Freddie doesn't even win in the end of either episode. Sure, he gets out of the robot costume in iHalfoween, but does anybody apologize to him? No. Is he taken to the hospital for any injuries he might've gotten? No. Is it even remotely funny that he got viciously tortured by everybody? Not in the slightest.

I love iCarly, but it definently had some bad episodes, like the one where (sorry can't remember the name of it) THE FIRE DEPARTMENT refuses to help Spencer with fires. Sam and Cat has some okay episodes but no WOW episodes. I love Victorious. Just yes. And don't get me started on Henry Danger, it's a train wreck.

iCarly is decent, some episodes got laughs out of me, and I liked it while it was on. Victorious I thought was really funny with the large range of characters and pretty funny moments. (One of my favorite episodes is the parody episode "The Breakfast Bunch") But Sam and Cat? It was 'Meh.' for me at first, but then it just got worse and worse for me. I liked the characters in their original shows but in this show... In this show... I despise this show putting it bluntly. (But I do really like the actresses)

I'm definitely willing to leave suggestions.Since out of these shows, I watched Sam & Cat the most... I wasn't a fan of "#MadAboutShoe" where Cat desprately wants to find a favorite shoe, or "#StuckinaBox", where Cat is literally stuck in a box, and the ending doesn't help much, and many have suggested this, but "#GettinWiggy" was quite an underwhelming finale.

+TheGreatGamer You're not wrong. On A.N.T. Farm, there was an episode where Paisley breaks her arm,so Lexi keeps pretending to get hurt to get attention while Paisley coincidentally gets hurt too. For example, Lexi pretends that she broke both her arms, an entire wardrobe falls and Paisley. Then the laugh track plays. Then she ends up in a full body cast. At the end of the episode, Lexi actually breaks both her legs and when nobody helps her since they think she lying or don't care... hahaha!

Goomer seems like he could've been a smartly written character. Imagine a gentle giant who would never hurt anyone, but is an MMA fighter. During a match, he would always try to find a way to win while hurting the other guy as little as possible. I feel like that could create more interesting plots than a dumbed down tough guy Spencer clone.

Not gonna lie, I actually kinda liked this show. The reason some episodes are pretty bad is probably because of Nick themselves. Victorious, Drake and Josh and iCarly had new episodes when they were ready, whereas Sam and Cat had a strict weekly episode airing schedule which almost never works in kids shows. Nick probably would've actually gotten more money if they spaced the episodes more, letting the episodes be written better and possibly get another season.

You make a good point on Drake and Josh but.... even then that show had horrible morals and implications. Because though Drake and Josh usually would get punished or taken advantage of when they pulled something, Megan on that show who did far more horrible things and always tormented the two NEVER got any payback for it. As in there isn't an episode of the show where she did something to the two and they got her back and it ended with them with one up on her even when they deserved to win. See that set a bad precedent that iCarly and ESEPCIALLY Sam and Cat abused. See though Kyra was kind of annoying in Kenan and Kel she wasn't really much of a fixture at all as the series was focused on it's male heroes bungling and causing trouble and either getting screwed over or ending up not really better off. And even then sometimes they'd come out on top like in the bagging epsiode because guess what: it gets annoying after awhile to see the people you're suppose to be rooting for constantly loose and you have to at least try tossing them a bone. However that barely happened in iCarly and that really doesn't happen with Sam and Cat at all as every episode seems to end with the two easily skirting through some issue and still ending up on top, no matter how little it's earned. WHich is not only unfunny, but it also doesn't lead to as much comedic possiblities. Because if you're afraid of letting your heroes or loose and really be put in embarassing or sticky situations and leaving them there, then you limit what you can do with them. In a comedy every character should be in some way or another allowed to be in on the joke and have some share of the torment and not have it all go to one character and leave one exempt. Sadly even stuff like Family Guy gets that but this show can't bothere getting it's hands dirty in the slightest and makes it's two leads always come out on top which is just so lame. It's weird how that wasn't as much of a problem in Victorious but is here because... in addition to being overly violent as you pointed out, Sam's a horrible character because she can't ever really be shown losing or being inferior in anything or else the universe will explode or something and ugh again that does not work for this kind of show. I'm sure there are other episodes you can go over but can't think of any off the top of my head but I'm sure you'll find one or be requested one and the like.

I honestly thought iCarly was a good show. I just lost interest after three seasons. I liked Zoey 101, too, for that matter. Victorious I found mediocre. This show seems pretty bad.

I'm gonna say Sam and Cat were never super deep (especially Cat), but I feel like when they switched to this show they lost all emotion. They never were good characters, but Sam cared about her friends (at least Carly) and Cat rarely got upset, but wasn't always a dumb ball of happiness. I'm not saying they were good characters to start, just that they got worse when this show came.

This show doesn’t understand the difference between sitcoms and sketch comedies. Characters being a jerk or a ditz works in sketch comedies because their characters are portrayed by the actor. In shows like these, the writers think that people would find it amusing if a character was dumb or sadistic. You don’t really find it funny and the more they use this trope the more annoying and predictable the jokes and plots become especially when you seen it on a lot of other sitcoms.

It's okay in sketch comedy because the characters are only temporary. They're only around for five minutes tops and there's no continuity between different sketches or if there is, it's not given that much weight. With sitcoms you're with these characters for the entire show and the continuity of their actions actually matters because the longer format storytelling requires more consistency to work even if it's a episode-to-episode kind of show.

I have only seen one episode from Sam and Cat, and thank god that's the truth and for good reason. The idea of that show in a whole and it coming to Nickelodeon was so unbelievably/spontaneously bad that I ultimately quit watching Dan Schneider shows, and that's something that NO person or show has ever done to me.

The main reason why I hate live action Nickelodeon shows is that 99.9% of them have a stupid laugh track that comes after stupid jokes.Why can't the audience decide when to laugh and when not to laugh? Also,they try WAY to hard to make good jokes.They all just end up being cringe-worthy in the end.

This show was just a cash grab, and a bad one at that. I watched the first half of the first season and wished for a time machine, so I could get the time I spent on this show back. I wanted it back. I prayed for it back, but it never happened. This show was annoying and offensive to babysitters who treat kids with respect, and the parents with respect. Goomer was useless and his character was offensive to MMA fighters who do suffer brain damage. I couldn't believe that this show was created by the man who made comedy sketches like The Amanda Show, All That, and even What I Like About You, shows I grew up with from the time I was at least 9 or 10 all the way up to when I turned 17 in 2004 when What I Like About You ended its run. I think 2004 was when the show ended, but I could be mistaken. It was over a decade ago after all. Dan Schneider certainly fell from grace after iCarly. Then he does this and Henry Danger, and possibly some other shows in-between the latter two. I mean, my god, Dan, what happened to you?!

5:09 Isn't her criminal record from her being in Juvy? I don't think those records would be public because she was a minor when she committed those offenses, but she was very open about it when she was doing ICarly which had millions of viewers, I can suspend my disbelief that the show was mostly watched by kids and teens with a small percentage of adults so the parents don't know about it. Also the kids seem to have fun so I guess that's all they would care about?
