Great choice. EVs are simpler and usually have less maintenance, it's a shame that some have politicized them. I hope that people stop voting for people that do. I have a Bolt and test drove the Equinox EV and came to same driving conclusions as you. The 2024 and 2025 Equinox EV trims and options seem way different. I replaced 2 sets of tires and one 12 volt battery.. that’s it! The last month I had it, I hit 2 deer and still drove it for a month before putting it in the body shop. Sold it after I fixed it. @mikeg784518 күн бұрын
You don't need to spend $8k to get heated seats. You can get heated seats by adding the Comfort Package and Active Safety Package 2. Total cost $2,000. Includes: Rear Pedestrian Alert HD Surround Vision Traffic Sign Recognition 8-way power driver seat Power driver seat lumbar control Heated driver and front passenger seats Heated steering wheel Wrapped steering wheel These options are also required to get the AWD, which is another $3,300. The AWD greatly improves the acceleration at highway speeds. Total sticker as described is $40,295. Also, you mentioned the awd EPA range rating of 285 miles and horsepower of 288. That was for 2024 models. The 2025 Equinox LT awd was updated to 307 miles of EPA range and 300 hp. Note: I test drove the 2025 base model and really missed the heated seats/steering wheel and surround vision and was disappointed in its highway passing capabilities. Then I tried the 2025 LT AWD and it addressed all of my pain points, so I bought it.

The Chevrolet page has a configurator. Non base LT models are in the $40Ks. If you pick the LT and add the heated seats unde the options section the page will tell you have to add the convenience package which adds $8k Now, if you pick a non base (LT) MODEL and add options the cost might go up by less than $8K since the car already has some of the features of the added package.

Did a quick comments check to see if anyone else pointed it out...didn't get to all & figured if they did, I'm sayin' it again. Rear hatch. You can slide the deck back about a foot by lifting the provided handle. Slide forward a bit and it'll reposition into a 2nd, lower grove to provide some--not much but some, more vertical room. I've had my 2024 2LT FWD for a month. Bought it off the lot loaded--retractable sunroof, etc, etc. After rebates is was under 36K. We haven't had a road trip & I know from my previous plug in hybrid 2011 Volt (sold it with 207K miles!), that the battery is new & will give more charge than advertised. Registering 330 miles on a full charge. I've done the math & it's working as the car is calculating it. NO complaints so far. I'm still getting used to the new tech options--a lot has changed in 14 years!! GREAT car.

You got a Bolt EUV built on the right day of the week I suppose. We had two of them...a 2022 and a 2023 and both suffered from the same annoying issues that the dealer could never fix. A squeaky steering wheel when you turned it and creaking/clunking rear suspension....ONLY when it had been raining outside and the suspension was wet. It really irritated me because we loved to vehicles themselves but they both suffered from what I have learned to call over the years "GM things". They all have something - even the EV's.

That's been my experience with GM's, I just picked up a 2020 Bolt 1LT and the wind noise on the left, one of the doors is definitely not sealing right. My HHR that I had years ago had interior door handles that would just break out of the blue, a Chevy minivan I had even further back had the headlight harness routed in such a way that you had to be careful when replacing the battery or you'd pinch it and short out the headlights, guess how I know.

I guess their engineers all have Google based (Android) phone and use Spotify for music etc. How am I going to migrate over 6,000 songs in my Apple Music account to Spotify? Since listening to music is an essential part of my driving experience I will either keep the BOLT EUV, which I love except for slow DC charging, or move to a brand that still has Apple Car Play. I even wrote Mary Barra about this over a year ago, heard back from one of her executive staff. NOTHING has changed, so I guess they don't want iPhone owners to buy their cars. Some of those are only every 15K but I don't remember which. Considering I was spending $600/yr for oil changes, and then the fuel cost as a delivery driver, I can safely say i'm saving almost $2K annual on a conservative estimate, and out the door I spent $2520.50 for the Bolt. On top of what others said, there are other incentives depending where you live. For example the 2025 LT can be had for $15,500 in CO once all rebates and incentives are applied. For states that don't offer incentives the 2025 LT can be had for $24K +TTL,TAX,Plates and fees. Total OTD less than $26K You just need to search and take advantage of all savings available. For example if you are a COSTCO member you get $1K instant rebate, if you own or lease an EV GM car you get $2,500, the Fed Tax Credit of $7,500 etc... Who knows what will happen with the EV Fed Credit after Jan 2025 though, so if you are in the fence I would say you have 1 week to pull the trigger.

That's not how it works you are not paying for his car. But don't forget the billions in subsidies the oil industry gets and has been for decades.

You do realize how much we still give to the oil and gas industry and support righT.??

@@AeschylusShepherdnot anymore. That was changed for 2024. Now you get the full credit as it was changed from a tax deduction you have to file for and might only get partial credit for to a full rebate off the sticker price as long as your income is below threshold. So the OP is partially right. And you’re partially right. The 7500 might be fully his own taxes if he has more then that owed. Or we might be subsidizing him for the likely difference.
