In this video, I will answer a major problem I see from many Bounty Hunter Metal Detector customers. The fix is so simple.

I received a secondhand Quick Silver detector and e-mailed Bounty Hunter about the missing battery door. Their answer was to ship me a replacement completely free.

2 Tips: 1. Figure out a way to connect a cord to the battery door and the other end of the cord to another part of the detector. 2. Paint the door a BRIGHT color (White, Orange ect) so it will be easier to spot on the ground if you lose it. Hope this helps. 🤪 .

Kingfisher f22 metal detector stuck on coin mode would you say it's a board fault or a coil fault thanks russ

Hello Paul- It sounds like it's a membrane switch (button) issue. The F22 has a 5 year warranty so if you are still in that window contact Fisher for a repair.

Hello David- I'm not sure if it is called iron see-through but, the Tracker IV operates better in iron than any machine in its price range that I know of. It has an amazing iron discrimination circuit.

I used my detector a lot and had to repeatedly fix worn out battery snaps and wires. I used duct tape when the battery door vanished.

@@AmericanDetection I`ve worn out a couple of detectors back when there were a lot of places to detect where nobody had been before. I made a profit daily and would detect all day until dark. I found a lot of money and rings with a 1990s Bounty Hunter. My best day for gold was with one I got at Radio Shack in 1996....two very large 14k men`s rings, a smaller 14k diamond ring, a 14k earring, and 18k gold rim glasses. Back then there were places like baseball fields and carnival areas were I could find 20 dollars in shallow quarters per hour using the target ID and a thick knife to quickly pop them out of the soil.

I'll tell you what I'd like to see russ. And that's Bounty Hunter make a couple of upgrades to the number one selling beginner metal detector out there and that's the Bounty Hunter tk4. Just a thought! Have a great Sunday russ.

@@AmericanDetection a combination of the two would be fine russ. Even though I think it's that way already isn't it. I started out old school analog. And I do have a fondness for the digital also now so. I'd like to see it have the ability to punch a little deeper in the ground. And perhaps even have vdi read out.

Hello Bryant. If it doesn't power on and you have good batteries and they are installed correctly...I don't have any suggestions other than contacting Bounty Hunter's Service department. That unit has a 5-year warranty hopefully you are still within that period. If not they still may help or give you more guidance on what to look for.

I wish the Tracker IV had a extension pole, i am 6'2" and its a little short.

There is an extra long pole for it. Call the factory direct.

Do you know what I should try and do if my bounty hunter tracker 4 is not making sounds unless I use headphones. I just bought new Duracell batteries and I'm not sure if it's them I bought them 3 days ago.

It sounds like a speaker issue. If it is still under warranty (you're the original purchaser and you purchased within the last 5 years) contact Bounty Hunter directly and they will repair, it for free. However, Bounty Hunter will still service the unit if you are not covered by the warranty. You could also open the control box up and take a look at the speaker, but I would only do this if you felt comfortable and ONLY if you don't have a current warranty. Good luck!

I had that problem only once when I 1st assembled my machine. It didn't take Rocket Science to figure out that if it doesn't fit ONE way....., try inserting the batteries in the OTHER way.......🙄!!! (😆)

It was...There are a ton of People who send me pictures of their lost battery doors and what do I see? Battery wires sitting up high in the cut-out blocking a good battery door seat.

@@AmericanDetection I will admit, even installed properly the Battery compartment IS a tight fit and the wires get in the way 🤔!!!!
