My late mom kept complaining of heartburn and declining eating. Her GI Dr did an upper GI,stated she had a couple of uclers in her esphogeal areas and GERD,prescribed her Rx. A little voice inside me said that I wanted her to see another specialist ,so they referred her out with her medical records. That specialist ordered a few more labs and another MRI to confirm that she had NASH/liver cancer (non alcoholic fatty liver disease). We started and had 2 rounds of the T.A.C.E treatment and then COVID lockdown hit. She had 1 tiny cancer cell left but decided to postpone her next treatment bcz the beds were full of COVID patients. About 4 months later, the one cell metastasized all over and she passed away within 3 months. In a way,even though my mom didn't pass away from COVID, she was still a victim of the pandemic and stupidity of selfishness.

My mom was diagnosed with colon cancer in 1997 after 6 months of bloody loose stools and thankfully she was still in early stages. She’s now 74 and has not had a reoccurrence but now I’m 40 and planning my 1st colonoscopy screening since I’m considered high risk because of her cancer. I do what I can to lower my risk. Lost weight and am no longer obese, exercise, eat less processed meat and lots of whole food and fiber and now will get early screening. Colon and bowel cancer is HIGHLY treatable and even preventable but people need to know the signs, get screened and watch how they eat and drink!

I was diagnosed with end stage Lyme disease after searching and seeing 22 doctors and specialists with horrific symptoms. I was not responding well to treatment & getting worse. I was then given 12 to 18 months to live just waiting for the bacteria would ravage my body. Upsetting , since I had 2 fairly young children & a husband. Thank God in heaven, my husband found a research doctor that saw patients & he ended up being wonderful! It was an excruciatingly tough road with treatments that lasted almost 5 years. I lost my eyesight , my hearing, my ability to walk & my hair. I also had extreme joint pain, facial pain, horrific head pain, 2 blood clots, 2 surgeries from failed organs from the intense inflammation & a heart attack. I prayed every day & many prayed for me. I was absolutely shovked at the dismissiveness of doctors & nurses . Even thought I spend many months in such pain, all I would fo was cry, not one doctor wouldcprescribe me anything for my pain. Treatment was unbearable, but I knew I had to do it. At least now, this fisease is being taken a bit more seriously just because doctors have family members that have it. It certainly is no thanks to the CDC that has down played Lyme disease for decades. Bless you on your journey to good health. There is hope. Today, I am cured. It's a wonderful feeling.

She struggled with a serious illness but during the journey she still lived life just in a different way then most. I will say as someone who had stage 4 colon cancer, and survived, and now have stage 4 blood cancer 7 years later, the whole warrior, battle, war scenario is exhausting and something many of us who have cancer absolutely do not want. We don’t want this whole warrior and battle analogy because eventually when we pass as everyone does, those of us that have cancer are known as losers when we die, because we lost some battle that society threw on our shoulders. We are not losers now, living with cancer, nor when we pass. Deborah was a beautiful person who lived her life the best she could with what she was physically capable of for whatever time she had, and had a beautiful family to carry on her legacy. I would definitely not call her a loser of some battle.

Your children will be resilient. RIP. Hope you're at a better place without suffering and pain till you're ready to reborn again.

I am so sorry... My heart goes out to you ... Your video put me into tears or a number of reasons. There are a number of things I could say to you but I will not because I am trying to find the words to encourage you to continue to fight. Every life is so precious and your family needs you to fight. And the world is a better place with you in it so no matter how sad you feel hurt yes you keep fighting. My mother lost her fight to lung cancer over 40 years ago when I was 13. I still needed my mother so much but she was taken from me. One day she was there and the next day she was gone forever. So please keep fighting your family needs you. You tell God that if he wants me he's gonna come down and take you because you're not going without a fight ! Three years later when I was 16 while I was still grieving for my mother... My father lost his fight with colon cancer and then he was stripped away from me leaving me alone. So you keep fighting I never stop ... If you are to be taken for this world you go kicking and screaming don't ever stop fighting this is your life you only get one so you tell your body to get with the program and get well. Quitting is not an option surrender is not an option losing is not an option life is so precious hey you only have one so please for your family's sake yeah for a world they need you in it keep fighting ! God bless you I made his peace be upon you

I have just found this, your youtube stream and wow. Thank you so much for sharing Bowel Babe! I was diagnosed with stage 4 leiomyosarcoma on my bday November 2016, at the age of 66 and next month I'll be 72. I know what you mean about putting things off to something else like overwork, being tired. I was told that it was a very rare and aggressive cancer....and here it was already stage 4. I figured I'd best make some changes and pay better attention to my body. lol I'm so happy to have found this and seriously, thank you so much for sharing your story. Take care, I'm glad you're alive! and remember to breathe ☯

People have a problem with colon or bowl cancer. It has to do with your butt and poop and no one wants to talk about it. Silly everyone. Notice anything off, go to a doctor!!!!!!!!! At the recommended age, about 40 now, have your colonoscopies. A colonoscopy won't find bowl cancer but it's all part of the same area. You are doing a great thing Deborah, and I pray you will beat this.

You are beautiful! I was diagnosed Dec 2012, surgery removed 22 in of lower bowel in Jan 2013. I have a blurry, slurred memory of being told it was stage 4. It doesn't matter to me what it was because the doctor said if I had waited another 3 mos which was highly likely with wait times, I wouldn't be looking at inning the battle. I had 12 (11) 1 cancelled, chemo therapy treatments, I had a load of anti nausea meds which worked well. My doc still expected that I would have been quite sick, but I surprised him. I had no symptoms, other than occasionally urgency when time to have a movement (pooh). That was because the tumor was so close to the last bend in the bowel. Since it is now 2022 I have survived! I have had lots of follow up and participated I a 10 yr study, which I was not a shining example of faithful participant. The goal was to determine if patients who increased physical activity had a better survival rate past 10 years or not. I have a condition of vertigo which limited my being active frequently, so I consider myself a poor participant. But I did all the follow visits and reports, they will find a column for my data somewhere. Congratulations on your four years survival! Your children have benefited greatly having you with them. You said you are still having chemo therapy, I pray that you will be cured. That is the best thing you can ever be told. I look forward to your up dates. God bless you.

My hubby had extreme tiredness and we found his iron levels were low so had a colonoscopy. Nothing showed. He had an iron infusion but the tiredness came back and iron levels low again he had several iron infusions and at the last one the nurse said he looked grey. When we got home I rang the gp and she said his haemoglobin was so low it was levels requiring a blood transfusion….it was miscommunication, but she arranged for him to be admitted to hospital and a different dr was assigned. He spent the next week testing everything and finally did an colonoscopy he found a tumour the size of 50c, 2 days later surgeon cut out foot of bowel and suggested to see an oncologist. He said that the chances of getting a “B” rated tumour would take a hundred years to get statics. It’s usually C or D that then has gone to lymph nodes, he was so lucky no lymph modes with cancer cells. Dr said to put poison of chemo for a year to possibly reduce reoccurrence would be 2% and said even he didn’t suggest it was worth it. Hubby had regular scans and bloods and has had no symptoms since. We believe it was divine intervention by our son who passed 12 years earlier the way everything happened was extremely rare ….we are so lucky he was ok and needed no treatment purely because of early diagnosis ❤️ it’s way more common than people realise. Feel for this poor mum and her family ❤️

Hello. I am going through this right now. Tomorrow I go for my 2nd infusion. I am so tired, and literally fall asleep fast. ‘We’ still have not found the problem yet, I have to do a endoscopy, and stool sample.
@shaz84862 жыл бұрын
@@horsenaround2000 I hope you get a good result. If they just say it’s nothing get a second opinion, try everything there has to be a reason when it’s extreme tiredness. What alerted me was hubby was too tired to has friends over for dinner, RED FLAG !!! he hadn’t even told me there was any problems….he always keeps things to himself, like chest pains for 5 days ! The ambulance roused on him so I tend to nag and constantly now and ask how he is beacuse he will never say. It was only 6 months from first to second colonoscopy. The first one didn’t go high enough, the second dr went further and found the tumour….thankfully. Apart from the PET scan, because machine was broken they had done a full week of daily tests, blood transfusion…..it was crazy. I wish they had done the colonoscopy first but bowel cancer is slow growing, thankfully, it really makes a difference when it is found early. I pray you get a good result stay positive and good luck. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️

Same as my experience. Low ferratin plus tiredness in late 2019 caused my GP to refer me to surgeon for colonoscopy which found stage 2 tumor in right side of colon. Had previously had regular fecal blood tests which raised no alarm. Great work by my surgeon who did keyhole right hemicolectomy and removed adjacent lymph nodes as well. Seems it was just-in-time, but still monitoring with cancer indicator blood tests and annual colonoscopy.
@pm72942 жыл бұрын
I had a very similar story to yours. Apparently if the tumor is contained within the bowel lining and hasn't migrated through then its a simple chop and restaple and one of the easier cancers to treat. So early detection is critical. Im five years free now. Point i cant stress enough is get a colonoscopy. Demand one. as its the only real way to find bowel tumors.

RIP. Life is a gift. I had rectal bleeding 30 years ago. Dr told me probably hemorrhoids. Had colonoscopy, it was normal. Now I'm 65, dying of kidney failure, drs don't have the answers, they are "practicing". I only sleep about 2 hours, no energy, can't think , can't get a job. Will be homeless in 2 months. Do the best you can. Oh, I just got food stamps. 8$ a day.

I hope and pray to god that the recent news about a cure is true and can be rolled out quickly. You’re the same age as me, well a year older, which makes you question your own mortality. God bless you darling and don’t ever give up the good fight ❤️
