Funny enough I only did Orrest Head myself for the first time in January and a really accessible path for everyone to enjoy and aye, a heck of a drive for me too, coming over from Co Durham. Orrest Head may be a a small summit but it have an real big view and despite that sun, still a bit of mud about and to be honest, some of those fells had some stunning views. The final summit had a brilliant view too, a real mix of views and nice easy assents, grand day out, cheers Alan

Aye definitely mate, id say most of the walks are closer to you than me.. think it took Dave only an hour to get there.. this appears to be one of the longer ones too so i think they should be all nice hikes.. might do a couple multi day hikes and join a couple of walks together :)

Great to see you out again so soon. I didn't realise he'd written a book on those or there were so many. I see we'll be kept busy once we finish the wainwright's.

Yea I didnt know till quite recently.. they all seem quite easy walks so am very much looking forward to them.. cos this one was very chilled and apparently it's one of the most challenging of the outlying fells so bring em on 🙂

Great video Dave. Some excellent viewpoints from such small tops. I did School Knott and Grandshire from Ings last year. Beautiful countryside and so peaceful. We had to walk through the Dromer estate to get to Windermere for a brew. Wont be repeating that bit again. The estate was much bigger than I anticipated and wasnt very pleasant walking through it. Looking forward to the rest of your journey All the Best

yea i really enjoyed this group.. makes a nice change.. ive heard theres more 'trespassing' to be done on other outlying fell walks but al cross those hurdles when they appear.. thanks bud, tek care :)

Enjoyed that. I started doing the outlying fells after the 214 but only did about 30 and never persevered so it'll be good to be introduced to new fells and views.

Should be a good new series Dave. Be prepared for a lot more “trespassing”! Once Charlie has completed the Wainwrights (hopefully this July) we’re going to be concentrating on Outliers & Birketts, so maybe meet up for a couple. We don’t live far from Carlisle.

oh really.. dam that was my fear.. Most of them are dead short walks, this seemed to be one of the longer ones.. but yea definitely up for doing some with ya, long old drive to do them just solo :)

only thing thats gonna be hard about them is the best part of 2 hour drive for each walk... so am hopefully going to try join up a few walks with a camp half way.. might even use the train a few times.. thank you for the support, tek care :)
