I have a 2 years old boxer, my first dog. Once you get used to the race, you'll never want a different race :)) They have such a nice personality. He's not the brightest potato in the farm, but he is a bundle of joy and never lets you feel sad around him. Such a great dog.

@@gautamsehgal9683 They say that the boxer is like the owner. If you are active, boxers can easily keep up. If you are not too active, they can adapt. The first 2,5 - 3 years, they have a lot of energy that has to be used, after that they turn into chill relaxed pets. But when they have the yayas, playing with then definitely helps. My dog lives inside with us, we have a fairly big house, and I walk him 2 times a day. When it's nice outside we play fetch or something in the yard. I wouldn't say that I have to spend tons of energy on him. If you have other dogs, that will help. They are extremly friendly and affectionate. They are glued to the owner and demand constant attention like a small pet or a "who's a good boy". The cons are well known. The boxer is really liked by the vet doctor because they are sensitive. From allergies to food, to random small things that need to be taken care of. This is especially applicable during the growing phase, first 1,5-2 years. But that depends on luck, obviously.

@gautamsehgal9683 theyre work dogs and def need alot of exercise. I live in a condo and just got a boxer puppy myself. U need an active yard (which is don't have) or be committed to taking them on walks and being social with other animals. They're def supposed to be out and given chores and tasks unlike an old English bulldog which is a couch potato. My last dog was a mini bulldog that liked to sleep all day. The boxer as cute as she is, really demands attention

I had a boxer (Rinty).named after an Irish fighter they are a fantastic dog but.do need a lot of exercise they are great with children very loyal to their families also excellent guard dogs and will eat you out of house and home given the chance but I personally wouldn't want any.other breed.

I love my German boxer. He is the best friend who you can have. Absolutely loyal, protective and smart. On the other hand he loves it when I am playing with him and when he is clownish he puts a smile on my face 😊

I’m on my third boxer and he weighs in at 40kg of solid muscle. The boxer is a top dog unfortunately they do suffer with cancer and it’s heartbreaking when that strikes. Until that day arrives they will give you more joy, sunshine and love than you could ever imagine or wish for.

I raised and trained Boxer's for Yr's They were all I had, They were so intelligent funny and absolutely loving the loved my Children and were with them every where they went I had Mohogany's and Reverse Brindle's, I did have People try to tell me there were Black Boxer's I just refused to accept that 😅 no black Boxer's nope all of mine lived very long lives last one living until he was 14 yrs old my heart was so broken he stayed with me everywhere I went he was there I couldn't go to the bathroom without him being in the room with me I still miss him terribly he weighed 125 lbs reverse Brindle he was gorgeous too Thank you For sharing Many Blessings To You And Your Family Stay Safe And Well Elle On hubby's acct 39yr Marriage

Boxer dogs are some of the funniest and most loving companions. Mine was truly my best friend. She crossed the rainbow bridge 16 months ago at the age of 14. We were so blessed to have such a sweet-natured, gentle, smart, protective, and funny brindle girl in our lives. Despite being 2 years old when she was rescued from a neglectful situation, she showed us nothing but appreciation, love and loyalty for 12 wonderful years. Losing her has been so devastating, and my heart still aches for her every day.

Great job on the video. The reverse brindle and white boxers are my favorite for appearances but the boxer is simply a great breed overall. Seeing so many "mixes" nowadays seems more like a marketing ploy than anything else. There are enough established breeds that will give a person a relatively known outcome for expectations of a dog, that people don't need to create these mixes. Most of the time it is just about making money and many of those dogs end up in shelters as unwanted dogs.

Boxers will give their lives for their owners/pack. I own one that fought a pit bull to defend its previous owner (a rescuer) and nearly died as it was overmatched. The dog's a true champion and totally deserving of its name - Rocky

I remember the first tiger brindle dog I ever saw. He was a Great Dane and I was a child. I was in awe. I had a dark brindle male years ago about the size of your girl. And a 102 pound fawn with black mask boy. My last Boxer was a beautiful 55 pound fawn with a black mask. Fiona. May she rest in peace. And now I am raising a light fawn American Bully/Boxer/Yellow Lab. A bit of Boxer makes everything better in life. ❤

You have to have a boxer in your life to understand, they are the most amazing best friend you will ever have, they are absolute goofballs they will talk your ears off they have to be part of everything you do they’re absolutely brilliant they will love and adore you and your family They’ll let you know when they want something, they will literally grab your arm with their paw and keep pulling and pulling your arm until you start petting them, they’re very special and they need to be treated very special, they need to be part of your family as one of your own children, I could never live my life without having a boxer and if you’re thinking of one I recommend👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Nice video. Thx. BOXERS ARE AWESOME !!! However, they are larger dogs with high exercise needs. Boxers are also super protective and need to be socialized early. Boxers, in addition are cuddle bugs/"velcro" dogs. Fantastic Dogs! 😊

I grew up with flashy, fawn boxers that we showed. Only one at a time and they were our family first. Now I have the most beautiful and sweet reverse brindle girl that I am totally in love with - so is everyone that meets her. She literally stops traffic when I have her out and about. I adore all dogs but boxers have always been my favorite breed!

I had a Boxer American bulldog mix named Oscar that stood obout 25 inches tall and went about 95 pounds of pure muscle, great dog but sadly they don't live very long Oscar only made it to ten years be for developing cancer.

Why would you include this terrible image of this poor dog? His spine is sticking out all along his back!!!!!! His ribs are showing and can be counted!!!!! I'm not saying he is definitely not abused. But we can take severe health issues into consideration. My first boxer had kidney dysplasia, which means her kidney didn't develop properly during her mom's pregnancy, and this led to other health problems as well. At age 1.5, weighing 21-22kg (46-48lbs), her kidney's size was equivalent to the kidney size of a 4-5kg (8-11lbs) cat. She looked a lot like this guy, and sometimes people, acting in good faith I believe, wanted to call animal protection services when they saw us walking. So I got into the habit of bringing her medical records and vet bills (many thousands of dollars) with me every time. I wanted (and I hope I could) give her the best life possible with her condition. Unfortunately, her life was quite short, I had to put her to sleep around the age of 2, when the vet said that from now on she would just probably suffer. Nonetheless, during that time we travelled a lot and tried to have as much fun as possible. So while you might be right, don't judge too quickly.

I've had quite a few Boxers and Boxer mixes. The puppy I'm raising right now is I believe American Bully, Boxer, and Labrador. She's turning out to be a very pretty dog. Her originally Labrador yellow coat is becoming more of a fawn as she matures. And the splash of white on her chest and belly and a few toes makes a pretty but subtle contrast. She does have quite a bit of muscle already, even though she is just turning 8 months old. Though stubborn and headstrong at times, she is really a sweetheart of a dog. I think maybe I will call her an American Boxebullidor.

Although she is a mix of a boxer (92,5%) and a American bulldog, she has all of the boxer looks and it's character. She is sweet, playfull and energetic. For me there is no other breed of dog as a boxer. 😍

Not so long ago whites were 'put down' by breeders due to nonconformity ans suspected health issues. I rescued one once and he was the best dog I ever owned!

as far as I know there is a bigger risk of skin cancer with white boxers so there is reasons. It has to do with the white being less protective when it comes to the sun, so the white ones easier get sunburned and more sunburn heightens the risk of cancer. While there have been puppies put down, according to the breeders I met it was more likely to be avoided by selective breeding and the ones that where white or had a lot of white would be given to families that didn't want to breed or show their dogs.

My late boys were white I got challenged by an old breeder that she would have bucketed Henry and the she saw we had diesel she went off on one. After I’d come down of the ceiling she was put in her place.bucketed is what it sounds like the despicable practice of drowning unwanted pups. The boxer breed is screwed by breeders breeding for money and looks over health. If you want a flashy chest on a boxer then a portion of the litter will be white and if whites are not involved in the photos there still getting rid of them. Any colour can be deaf Cancer is riddled in the breed but more so brain and heart tumours more than skin. And the marvellous bobtail the first litter was a coloured dog bred with a white as the bitch was dispensable words used by the great BC. Boxers are loving loyal intelligent and have a heart of gold and I adore them but the breeding practices have ruined our great breed. I come from a era when white was not acceptable and have had many heated discussions with breeders bucketing was a practice and it wasn’t for health reasons the pups were destroyed it was they couldn’t make enough money off them. The whole white is bad came from ww1 and the Germans used them as military dogs before shepherds but the white coat stood out more. I wish there were more ethical breeders as we desperately need them.

We recently had to euthanize our beloved 9 year old Boxer who developed the dog version of Lou Gehrig’s disease. It will take a very long time to recover from his loss. Although we live in the USA, he looked more like the English type. Our veterinarian, when he first saw him, said “that’s most beautiful Boxer I’ve ever seen!.” He was gentle, very smart, and very playful. He was so good with children. A joy of a dog.

Do Boxers drool? It depends… I’ve had five (American) Boxers, all female. They all had tight jowls and didn’t ‘drool’. I attribute it to the type (American) and the sex (female). All five of mine were very clean and tidy.

If the dog is deaf. teach it sign language. I had an albino great Dane that i taught sign language to. Most of the commands I use for my dogs are hand signals. So training a deaf dog isn't any harder than training any other dog.

If ANY dog breeder is reading this, please do the world a favor and start breeding more to Health, Function and temperament and less for extremes. And that goes for ALL breeds. On the cross breeds I seen a pit/boxer cross years ago. At least that's what I was told it was. From what I can remember it was an impressive looking dog without being extreme. It had the run of a somewhat large property.

I believe that my first three boxers were from the American breed. My personal criteria is solid black faced, short ( not pug like ) stop, perfect bite , and large expressive eyes with no white. around the lids. I prefer a white chest and feet . Is this asking too much? I love this breed so much but am getting much too old to handle such an energetic and powerful dog.

Had two females, both white. Pros: funny, happy, curious, curageous if necessary, children loving, easy to train if you give your own, personal effort to it, dogs. They don't drool in general, some do, it's a lottery. Cons: sharp, short coat will remain on absolutely EVERYTHING in your house, from carpets and sofas to socks, items of clothing and personal underwear ( washing machine ) years after the dog is no longer with you ( i.e. from the inside of your worn-once -a-year-at-familyevents-shoes ). They need a LOT of excercise. And sorry to say, white ones are sickly, both of mine died of health complications aged 7 and 9, and as a race they don't live that long - 9 to 11 is a standard. And it's true, once you try Boxer you shall remain Boxer fan till the end. Great breed that people fear due to the looks but really what happens behgind that face is nothing else but "let's play, I wanna play, you know you have to play now, human".

I had never owned any dogs as an adult by myself and I now I have 2 intact brother littermates German boxers(akc certified woo)! my biggest boy the one a few minutes older is around 80lbs but my god the short noses muscles athleticism MY GOD THEY ARE BEAUTIES! So goofy so loyal fearless (except for new objects weird noises and of course, trash bags haha) will step to ppl who get to close to my on nightly runs just the best decision to get two, cuz every boxer, needs a boxer :D bold choice for a first time dog owner tho ill admit the first year and a half was hard raising them by myself haha but its been the best thing in my life, I’ll be devastated if they get sick. One has cardiac issues and both have horrible allergies and hugely sensitive tummies but it’s all worth it cuz we are so in tune with each other, go on road trips, and have stayed in many hotels together on trips :) best best breed I get emotional talking about my baby boys :)
