Boxing footwork to use in the ring. Part 4 - Circle left and circle right.

Learn to circle around your opponent is a great way to keep yourself out of range and them in range, from a somewhat safe distance. The only issue is that many boxers only move to one direction and do not know how to box moving the other direction. Also, moving to one side or the other for a majority of your fight will leave you open to counters that are designed for exploiting your 1-direction style. This is why it is important to learn to box moving in a circle to either side.
Most boxers will find it easier to move to their lead side, but a good boxer can box circling left or right. Also, once you become good at it, you can switch direction quickly to keep your opponent off balance, or set up traps by moving one way and then quickly to the other and then countering.
