Thanks for the knowledge coach !! It seems that most coaches teach catching the hook, and then countering with your own hook, however I notice the Mayweathers teach catch the hook and then counter with a straight right. The logic being I suppose that your opponent doesn't have a hand in the way to defend. Do you think it is best for boxers to focus on one approach or the other and have it so the counter is automatic, or is it better to mix up the two approaches ? Thanks.

juandenz2008 mixing up both work the straight right off the hook works well also but is harder to execute in my opinion I believe shooting a hook off a hook is a more natural movement but both are good depending on the situation

Great video guys nice tips like catch hook,liver shot best one but think got to be very skilled to time that one lol,one thing I want to know as for boxers,I do kickboxing like to keep one hand low as good for catching kicks not being hit to body but I think makes your jab better because not easy to see it coming from waist that's my opinion I know David haye used it a lot to good affect,is this true or not ?,from boxers point of view

James Miles pros and cons like anything else ,staying in range with the lead hand low can help with deception if used right but can be dangerous for the right hand so you If you do it you better be Good at it if not keep the hands up ...

Coach Anthony thanks for advice much appreciated,yes I'm southpaw so try going other way from right hand,but also I have advantage off elbows knees kicks to,I just found when had traditional boxing hands up people saw it coming more,when have by waist catch people a hell of lot more because don't see it from that low,I'm not good boxer like you lot but I use it to set up kicks,thanks for help keep up good videos 👊
