Boxing Training - Move like a Professional Boxer
A boxer's training depends largely on the point in their career at which they are situated. If the boxer is just a beginner, a minimal training routine might consist of learning how to hit a heavy bag, a speed bag, or a double end bag (a small bag with a cordon top and bottom connecting it to the floor and ceiling) as well as doing shadowboxing in front of a mirror, skipping rope, calisthenics and jogging every day, as well as an occasional practice bout inside the ring (sparring). Most beginning boxers will spend most of their early careers conditioning and establishing the fundamentals.
However, for the amateur or professional boxer preparing for a competition or bout, training is much more stringent. Boxing is widely considered one of the most physically demanding sports globally.
Boxing may look intimidating, but it doesn't have to feel that way. Arming yourself with a few basic moves before your first class or training session will set you up for success in the ring. But before you get going, you'll first want to brush up on your stance and breathing technique-then master the basic moves.

Footwork is the cornerstone of practical boxing training. Getting comfortable with proper stance and foot movement is key to advancing your boxing skills. Good footwork is achieved through the appropriate stance, footwork drills, and, most of all, practice. All beginners should incorporate a variety of footwork exercises into their training.
Boxing footwork helps fighters maintain balance. It is also crucial to deliver effective punch combinations, improve accuracy with every hit, and set boxers up for offensive moves.
Excellent footwork is often credited to the success of champion boxers. The ability to move around one's opponent swiftly while staying balanced is essential in real-life fight scenarios. Learning boxing footwork fundamentals is key in helping beginners quickly amp up their game to the next level.

Though it seems like your hands are more important, your feet and footwork are perhaps the most crucial things to focus on when learning to box. Moving your feet correctly gives you the balance and stability to defend quickly and attack with power. That power does not come through your arms -- it comes from your legs.
Boxing is not necessarily a science like most would consider. It is more of an art. Art is a relentless pursuit, and you will never wholly master your craft because there is so much to learn.
