Didn't Gonzalez's long time trainer died before this fight? Yeah, dude had a lot going on prior to this fight.

Yes that was another thing weighing heavily on him

Gonzalez didn't look great in the Cuadras fight either. I only watched it once live but I thought Rungvisai deserved to get the first fight. I don't think anything outrageous happened - Roman's style just wasn't as effective going up in weight, he didn't adjust or adapt and just tried to fight the same way he did lower down. People loved Chocalatito so much, they wanted to look for excuses

Gonzalez didn't look good vs. Cuadras or Arroyo he had hit his ceiling. Not sure why you think Rungvisai deserved to win the first fight? Are you aware Gonzalez landed over 400 shots on him, while Rungvisai was backing up? Without going back and writing all the numbers down I do know Gonzalez was the aggressor, landed about /almost 200 more punches and, by YOUR standards I don't know if there were even 3 rounds when Sor Rungvisai outlanded Gonzalez (counter balancing landslide punch stat rounds Gonzalez won).

I have admittedly only watched it once live but my feeling after the fight was not shock or outrage like most people. I thought Rungvisai landed the harder more telling shots - it was close and maybe I'd score differently if I watched it again but I wasn't surprised at the outcome of the second fight which put everything to rest.

Agreed, I've watched it 3 or 4 times and each time I see different things. Its very RARE that I agree totally with Harold Lederman and the 3 judges go the other way. The best I can see is 8-4 Gonzalez with an extra point to Sor Rungvisai for the knock down.
