@@BoxingLife In a KZbin documentary, there were rumors that Benitez only trains for 2 and 3 weeks for all his fights because he proclaimed himself the Bible of boxing. I don't know if it's real but the people who knew him affirmed that it was true...if it was like that...he had a crazy born gift.

Bring back day of the fight weigh in , 15 round title fights and 6 oz gloves. The day before the fight changed boxing. Roy Jones used to perfectly. He never entered the ring as a MW at less than 175. The big gloves are an example of unintended consequences. The big gloves allow the fighter to take more punishment. My friend a former HW contender pointed this out to me. Ray Leonard was a great WW fighter. I wish he had a longer career and he lost to Marvin

I consider Wilfred a defensive wizard. He didn’t need to be stopped in this match but wanted to be big ick and ditch the clinching. Spoiling is a defensive tactic especially when your opponent has firepower superiority. I see Bivol clinching in fight 2. Bivol was handling the clinches and even shoved Artur’s head down in round 12. He surprised everyone including himself with his physical strength

If a fighter ducks down like that and has their head down what are you supposed to do, it happens, intentional punches in the back of the head are wrong, but let’s be realistic, if a guy is looking down at the floor with his hands up by his ears and staying there all fight bending below your waist every time you punch what are you gonna do? Catch him like ray did. It’s just an instinct if you’ve ever sparred or competed, the punch was definitely fair.

@@soratics7328 Calm down. Firstly, no shot at the back of the head is 'fair'. With that said, I wasn't accusing Ray of having any intent. I just wanted to point out the unfortunate circumstance that Wilfrido was knocked down by a shot like that despite his great defense.

This is the fight that l use as a basis as to why l believe Leonard would beat Mayweather jr. Floyd would make Leonard miss quite a bit but Leonard’s aggression and deceptive punching power would make the difference in his win. Mayweather is cleaver and a defensive master but Leonard wins late round TKO or on a split/unanimous decision.
