This video and song have been on repeat since i found it the other day. It is the only song/video i have ever heard or watched that fully embodies what i went through in my life. My mom was physically, mentally and emotionally abusive when i was a kid. The years leading up to my parents divorce was the worst of it. I went through self harm and depression and 16 years of therapy. I knew my inner child needed to be healed especially when all the anger worked its way out and i struggled with anger problems. I told myself when i was younger that i would never be the monster she was and i slowly lost myself and started being cruel to my younger sisters, family and friends. I was in a dark place and realized i needed help. Thank you for making such a beautiful song that has embodied my struggles and the stages we go through to find our true selves again ❤

You definitely have a classic here. Lyrics come from a place of confusion and pain. We all believe things are going to be good all the time but without thr balance of good and bad times we can never really enjoy those moments of clarity. Those bumps in the road make us appreciate the current situations we are living. MIA is so much than the lyrics and the melody. This song is a reflection of whatever have gone through and those times we feel lost with no clear road in sight.
