Wow, I've always respected Boy George as an artist and musician....not to mention what he did for music in the 80's but after watching this...I have HUGE respect for the man!!! When he came on the scene, I think everyone was shocked because we'd never seen anything like him.. His contribution and the members Culture Club cannot be understated!!!

How compassionate and wise George is about his father and the situation they grew up in, it was a sad, difficult and complex situation and George is very compassionate and honest about it, whilst acknowledging he was violent to their mother. What a good man in George and a wonderful survivor in Dinah.

Love Love Love!!!! I`m deeply humbled by Boy George and his beautiful mother. I`ve spent quite some time, liking as much of the comments here as possible. Forgive me folks and know, in my heart you all have my likes. Experiencing all the nice thoughts you have about him and his mother and your appreciation lights up my life and touches me deeply. Despite the struggles he went through, he made it to become a grounded beautiful person touching our hearts on top of his great songs. Maybe it`s just me, but whatever interview of him I watch, I feel so much joy reading the comments, not a single one negative or mean. God bless him and all of you out there. Know that you are beautiful, beautiful as Boy George and his mother.

The blackface at 3:20 shocked me. This might have passed in the 1980s, but it is considered horribly offensive nowadays (2022). I checked the current official video of "Karma Karma Chameleon". There is no blackface shown in the current official music video. The video states it is set in Mississippi in the 1870s. The action is set by a river and on a riverboat. Presumably the original video had blackface as shown here at 3:20, and presumably the music video has been edited to remove the offensive and problematic scene. Even though blackface was regularly used in the 1870s, nobody in mainstream media these days really wants to re-enact it, re-broadcast it or re-publish it.
