The boy is now in a decent foster family home. The foster dad said the boy is doing well in school with no issues at home. Lack of love is frustrating and lonely. People not able to express love or just not having love, is a huge detriment to a child.

How do you know that? It came out in Tim’s trial that the boy was still having severe behavioral problems. He also was in a facility where they had to restrict his movements as well. It was not allowed to come into the trial in front of the jury though. I do agree that lack of love in a home is a huge detriment and can cause behavioral issues in children.

A child experiencing mental health problems does not excuse the foster parents of locking said child in a box in the garage and especially not the verbal abuse. If you can’t cope take him to a facility that CAN and is equipped to provide proper treatment and care.

Sadly the young man, hasn't even begun to realise they were never parents, it's all he knew unfortunately. She should absolutely have jail time like her partner, she is less than... I have no description appropriate to this thing. Apart from a child, without loving what should of been parents?

She was complicit and participated in all of the abuse... my children gave me a run for my money at that age, but I handled it with grace, compassion, tough love, patience, and empathy, and it brought them in closer! It's game over for her too!

I’m tired of experts talking about adoption as if they truly understand it. I am adopted. I am also in education now as an adult with multiple degrees. No. I never suffered from “attachment” issues. These experts need to stop blaming shitty/ abusive parenting with the child having some “issue” because of being adopted 😑. I also have adhd and fetal alcohol syndrome and guess what? I haven’t killed anyone either 😑These experts always like to blame violent behavior or children of extreme abuse on neurological disorders- but in reality it’s all failed parenting for the child’s death or actions and there’s no excuse . Charge the parents and be done with it.

Not making excuses but he had issues long before he came so if they struggled, they should have got help. Whatever mental health issues this child had, has now been compounded with his treatment and as he is locked up with limited movement, i fear for his future.

💯 she should be jailed, like her partner.. this young child even tried to save the executioner who sentenced him to a box!! Sadly he never got to know real loving parent's. This couple, are both deserving of life imprisonment in my opinion. I do hope their adoptive son has had counciling since the other thing was jailed, and awoken to the fact he was tortured in my opinion. Throw away the key to both these non humans..

They tramatized the child more. Inpatients treatment probably address the added abuse he suffered. If he does have attachment disorder than they detached him more.

No, he was having severe behavioral issues and it was deemed necessary to put him in an institution. However, if the Ferriter couple had taken him in for treatment very early instead of trying to do things on their own he might have recovered by now. They had the money to do so.

I noticed that she glanced towards the camera and then she put her hand over her mouth and got a pained expression, seemed like a bit of playing up to the camera 🤔 They would have both kept their child locked in what was basically a big box, no window, with a bucket for a toilet, if they hadn’t been reported. I hope she gets prison time as well

Saw her husbands trail he deserved everyday he got behind bars. I hope she gets the same as her husband it really should have been longer considering this abuse by both parents went on for years in Idaho, before their move to Florida. The piased attitude over love as these are ordinary childhood behaviors, his care should have been paramount. To lock up a child for YEARS is disgusting shameful behaviour. Emotional along with physical abuse to starvation, how can anyone think it was normal to abuse this young man, I will never understand. This child will suffer from psychological emotional behaviours, judging he is now in a unit. Thanks to these parents who should never been allowed to adopt. SO SO SAD. I hope the young man will be able to live some semblanceof a normal life going forward into the future.

Remember, this was going on before they moved to Florida! That boy was l9cked in a garage box in Arizona, since he was 8 years old! I do NOT agree with that judge! Tim Ferriter got less years (5) than what that child suffered. The minimum was 6 to 40! IMO, she'll get probation. Her parents adopted their bio son. How does bring justice for all the torment that boy suffered?

no way was she being controled by hubby. she was there on her own free will, she could come and go as she pleased. no one held her captive or locked her up making her treat this boy this way. it is sad when parents adopt or get step children and then treat them like animals. they had choices and they made the wrong ones. i feel hubby got away with a slap on the wrist. for the torture they give this boy they should be serving a very long time behind bars. not once during any of these tapes did i ever hear them tell this boy they loved him. it appeared to me that they thrived on the punishment they give him.

The Ferriters NEVER had him in therapy. This came out in the trial. They'd have one meeting and never show up again. The diagnosis of "attachment disorder" was made by some unqualified person, and is a disputed diagnosis. This channel needs to get much clearer on this whole attachment disorder diagnosis and the cult that has developed around it.

that she sat in the courtroom with several lawyers, laptops and constantly talked and planned her "defense" during an ongoing trial ......that's something I didn't understand from the judge. I found it quite disrespectful to the victim and the seriousness of this trial. arrogant, narcissistic and no remorse . I can't look at it again.... the last trial was enough
