Yeah, I feel like maybe she should have gotten senior dogs instead that wouldn't require as much exercise and would be more suited to a quiet home life. There's beautiful senior dogs that are ignored at shelters because of their age, but they're really special. Unlike a puppy, it's a bit easier to recognise a senior dog's personality and if they gel with someone and their lifestyle.

I love walking with my dog, I'm really going to miss it when he's gone (which I'm afraid won't be long anymore :'( ), It's nice to enjoy some time together with your dog, it's relaxing, it's fun for the dog, and indeed, it would be more work to clean up after a dog that isn't walked at all (and I know my dog would be completely miserable if he had to use his house or even his garden as a toilet). This lady should rehome these dogs somewhere they are well taken care of and treated like a dog, not a fashion accessory. And then she can get a new dog: the kind they sell at toy stores that you don't need to feed or walk or clean up after ;-)

This Mario is getting a raw deal. Although he appears gruff you can see many times in the episode how much he's willing to make the efforts and how genuinely happy he was during the training. Well I'm a guy and I ain't afraid to say it. She doesn't deserve him. He ain't perfect and aspects of his personality are completely different to me, but that doesn't mean I don't have eyes. She doesn't love him anymore (unsure whether she ever did) and yet will not cut him loose. He loves her and in spite being pushed beyond his limit over and over he has always come back to try again. I got a dog recently. I'm a migraine sufferer of 26 years and have other health issues. I chose a greyhound because they only need 30 - 60 mins of exercise a day. Even with a migraine yesterday and today, I still walked my hound. I love him and know he needs that. He had to walk slower than usual, but he didn't mind. When I am better, I do little bursts of jogging. And when I'm sick, I just go slower. As long as the walks happen, my hound is happy, and that's what the walk is about.

In this case, it's clearly the woman that's toxic. Dyanne and Mario have no idea of how GOOD their dogs are. In this episode, Victoria trains Dyanne and Mario more than she trains the dogs, which appear to be naturally better behaved than most of the dogs we see in these episodes. Mario got a GREAT KEY to Dyanne's heart and a wonderful way to end any argument. All he has to do is brush that little dog and Dyanne will melt into his arms!

For as dysfunctional they are as a couple and as much work as they need to do as a couple, I honestly think they mesh well as the… distinct personalities they are. They are both very uniquely alike in so many ways and I can see why they were drawn together. My dogs are trained to go outside to use the bathroom, they are trained to let us know they need to go out. And when they are in at night, we put puppy pads down, and pick them up in the morning. It's not hard to clean when you see a mess.

I have an appeal for this community and everyone who loves Victoria's training and her compassion as much as I do. Often times people get judged here very harshly and I completely agree that if someone mistreats their dog this should be criticized or if a dog even gets abused it is absolutely justified to express one's emotions in the comment section and judge a person's actions. However, sometimes even people who came around at the end and really tried to better their dog's life are getting a lot of slack in this comment section. It is okay and important to speak one's mind, be constructive, point out behaviors one doesn't like or express one's feelings but I feel like it turns into hate comments sometimes and in my opinion this doesn't match with what we see and learn from Victoria in this show. She puts her foot down and tells people if they did something that made things worse for their dogs. But she never gets disrespectful. She seems to be a compassionate and loving person and I think we, as a community, should take that as an example and also not be disrespectful. Moreover, keep in mind that these episodes have been filmed years and years ago and we do not know if people might have changed for the better or even lost their fur babies and we just make them feel extremely bad or sad with our comments.

i really love Victoria she is a great person to train the dogs and the families she is so patient and doing her best effort both for the dogs and their humans after all these years i still watch her videos on youtube and i enjoy her work and attitude in every episode she really is a dog and family therapist :D

Every woman I've met who had dogs they treat & dress up as babies have had something traumatic relating to babies earlier in their lives. Often they yearn for a real baby and these dogs are the replacement

She is infatuated with the dogs, like little dolls. Loving some (inclusing animals) is doing whats right for them and wanting whats best for them. I feel sorry for Mario, he seems to be getting the brunt of it all.

Am I wrong or is it Mario that works? Lovely house, who pays for it? She is at home all day, umm, could she walk the dogs? Sit and do some training. Thing is and I just did this for the first time, it’s not hard to train a dog to go out for the toilet, it’s mildly hard to teach a dog to go on command. It’s really easy to see that this woman isn’t a good dog owner.

One thing I can say is that he must really love her! I never realized that NY is the ONLY state in which there are no dog walkers, no groomers, and no vets! That place is not cheap. I'm fairly sure it would actually end up SAVING them $ using these services. I live in rural TN and am probably just under middle class, but we know that if we want to have our two shi-tzu/poodle mixes, we have to budget for their grooming, their food, their doctor, etc. It's just what you MUST do, or don't have dogs. Or cats, for that matter. Animals in general aren't cheap, but their love is absolutely beyond priceless. BTW, Jorge, can you relocate to the TN valley???
