Balloon fight is kinda of an unofficial icon for Nintendo, not necessarily in a flagship series or characters but the balloon idea used has pooped up in Game and Watch, Smash bros Wario ware, Tingle from Zelda actually had a spin off with this gameplay style, nintendo lands Balloon trip, This game even got a Japanese sequel called Balloon fight GB

not ever played either this or original nes game, however there is a mini game on nintendo land wii u called balloon trip breeze thats clearly is based on these games, also on another game i own called Game and Wario for wii u theres a mini game where the character from these games featured, think its called 9Volt or something, happy new year fella, great review, lots of detail re history etc, makes it an entertaining watch/listen

Happy New Year to you too sir & thanks for watching! You really should check out the NES original, it's certainly a classic game, although it's pretty much Nintendo's take on 'Joust'. This game's also a good one, but it gets seriously frustrating at the end!

Looks like a fun but frustrating game this one, not managed to pick it up yet but it seems to sell cheap enough so hopefully will do soon. Great vid as always mate :)

I've seen it a few times wild buddy, I'll keep an eye out for you! I got mine at the recommendation of a friend before I started collecting for the console properly & it's been one of those games I've popped in to play ever since!
