Boyup Brook - Western Australia

Lovely garden bed of camelias in the Boyup Brook museum garden and some nice Ash trees. An unusually healthy Flooded Gum shading the bus in the last image. These trees, lining our SW rivers (from Moore River southwards), have been dying in their hundreds of thousands - an environmental disaster (caused by Psylid infestation (feeding on the leaves).

I remember catching Marron here when I was younger. It was great to cook them up on the camp fire, times have certainly changed.

They certainly have. As a teenager we used to go up in to the hills and catch marron regularly. No 'marron season' back then :)

There is a great little miniature display of the flax mill and a few other things next to the caravan park. It's only open when the bloke is in town. He talks about the mill too as he worked there. Great to see if you get the chance

Yeah, I saw the display, a lot of effort went into making that. I think this video was made before we went back and did more filming so it didn't get put in this one.
